Do I like it? Yes, absolutely, beyond no doubt. I wouldn't even go so far as to say I LOVE it.
Would I serve it at a reception? No. Not unless Icould afford to hire a professional sushi chef to make it fresh, right there... I'd be at the sushi bar all night... and probably alone because not too many people in my crowd share this passion. In fact, FH HATES it and probably wouldn't kiss me on our very own wedding day because of it.

Now I want some, but no, it's not something I'd serve at a wedding. Maybe if it was a station and SUPER fresh, and I had lots of guests I know liked it.

I LOVE sushi..If it was at a wedding I attended I'd eat all of it I'm sure lol..but really I would not have it at my own since 1. it tends to be pretty expensive; 2. it's like you either love it or you hate it, or never tasted it and never will..so it's not appealing to 100% of your guests.

I've never tasted sushi before, don't plan on ever doing it, I do not eat certain see foods so I'd definitely pass if I went to a wedding that serve sushi

I loveLOVElove sushi... i eat it about 3x a week, and could probably eat it every day. if that is something that most of your guests would enjoy, then you should consider it... but like the other brides said -- it definitely depends on the set up... you would need to have a sushi chef on site. i have been to weddings with a sushi chef and it was a huge hit.

Oh how I love my ebi rolls!

Take a poll in your family and see how many yes and nos you get. It may be a hit if you can keep it on glass plates on ice. That should keep it cold enough for a little while. Try it at home and see how it works out if you get tons of positive feedback from your guests.

It looks like the price isn't terrible.. it won't fit my budget, but $1000 for 4 hours isn't so bad... It would be a nice touch for cocktail hour..
A girlfriend & I had a tradition of getting sushi at this one place and walking next door after for a donut.. I wanted to have a donut stand at my wedding so now I'm thinking it would only be appropriate to have the sushi!! Way to go Shaton! I have a new reason to be dissapointed with my wedding! Smiley sad sigh.

@JLu - i'm on the border of NY,NJ& PA. But I do have family down near you in Martlon. Darn.... thought I may have found a sushi buddy since FH HATES all fish. That and my brother converted his FW into liking at least a little sushi.

Sushi wedding party!!! When I be in my little sister's wedding reception, sushi was so great. It seems little bit expensive but that is why people like to eat more and enjoy the meal time. And It looks very unique and special party. It is like I am in the oriental mood~~
