Hi all,
After helping out all my relatives and friends get married (so many weddings!), it's time for me to plan one and... *drumroll* I don't know what it should look like.
**I also want to note that I used to always think I would get married at the courthouse, but relatives & FH want a small wedding (about 50-60 people)**
I finally picked out a dress (phew!):

And a venue: (!)

But I don't know what to do from here. I feel like the event should be very fun (with MarioKart projected on the wall during the reception) but also formal enough that it feels like I got married(??). My FH and I love eclectic & vintage things (yes to Wes Anderson style!) but we're also very nerdy and bookish gamers. Both of us though, love to dress up when the situation calls for it. We both love fashion & art.
I'm inclined to make the reception the "fun & casual" side of us while making the ceremony a little more treasured and grown-up.
However, I'm still struggling with merging the two together. On one hand, I could just go eclectic, vintage (40s or 60s) and colorful but casual. On the other, I'd be vintage, classic and semi-formal. Like a color palette- I love lots of different palettes and FH doesn't care what I choose. But how do I merge an idea of colorful, eclectic bridesmaids with semi-formal? Or how do I make casual vintage? How do I make this even feel like an extension of us but also fun for everyone else?! Lol. Too many questions!
This experience has caused a slight existential crisis in that, I've found our taste buds to be duplicitous... and I haven't cooked harmoniously in some time!
But seriously, how did you guys figure it out for your weddings? And, can I see pictures (RL or pinterest inspo)? <.<
Lol, thank you!
