Starwars wedding Invitations

judy, on July 27, 2017 at 6:44 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 23

My wedding theme is Star wars. We have been trying to find good invitations with Darth Vader and a Storm trooper but cant seem to find any good ones should I DIY them. I don't have any ideas what to do or where to start.

That is awesome that you are having a Star Wars themed wedding! That sounds like so much fun! I would probably DIY the invites if you don't have a huge guest list. Or maybe you could buy blank Star Wars themed cards as well that you could have your wedding info printed on.

Have you thought about something along these lines? This seller has quite a few different Star Wars designs by the looks of it:

Have you tried Etsy? They do have some there. You can purchase the digital design and print them via Vistaprint to save some $.

Not sure about your budget but having custom invites made by a local shop could get some great results, and it would be more likely to look classy and less 'birthday party' than Felicia mentioned.

No real advice but I think star wars invites sound cool. I'd actually keep that one. Most wedding invites are just more of the same old thing.

YES! Finally someone else who is doing a Star Wars theme. Sorry I won't be much help because we hired my sister (who is a graphic designer) to do our Save The Dates and Invites.

Sadly in order for you to get the wedding invites you want you're going to have to hire someone.

I'm having a very subtle travel theme, because it is was FH and I love to do and what has really brought us together. A little goes a long way, but I think invitations are a good place for the theme to come out. It won't dominate the wedding, but you can showcase what you love.

I think etsy is going to be your best bet here, or DIY.

We too are doing this theme however it is more subtle touches here and there. Here is our design that I have been playing around with on Vistaprint. Our colors are navy, lime, and B&W stripes.

Mine are mid century with a SW twist. They were custom designed. I didn't want things to be overly SW - it is a wedding not a birthday party.

You can always design your own using canva.com. It's a free design website. I did all my signage in there just by looking at stuff I found on Pinterest and designing it on my own. Then just have vista print print them.

There are tons of ideas on Pinterest and Instagram (#starwarswedding) so it's pretty easy to make something and use vistaprint or another printer. We went very theme heavy for the save the dates since that was really informal and fun. The actual invites have just subtle touches. ETA: That's our cat dressed as Yoda Smiley smile

LillyBean- I got my invites through her, not Star Wars themed but we looked at a few of them. I want to get a lot of her stuff, love her shop.

For your invitations, try a more subtle design--a starry sky with yellow lettering. My fiancé and I are huge nerds--I got him millennium falcon cufflinks to wear and we have a deathly gallows cake topper--but use themes sparingly. Otherwise it looks like a child's birthday party.

I wanted to do a themed invite for my batman sailor moon wedding, but it was easier and much cheaper to do traditional invites off of vista print
