Mine is at 2:30! It really just depends on what you want and if you want to have a dinner. We are just doing finger foods and we also plan to leave between 5:30-6. We have to drive an hour to our hotel and then wake up before 5 to catch our flight so we are doing an earlier ceremony to accommodate that.
Agree it depends on how long you have your venue, if you're concerned about timing for pictures at sunset, etc. Daughter's venue required the reception to end no later than 10 pm, due to local noise ordinances. Sunset would be at 5:15 pm (easy to check by Googling sunset time at your location on a particular date). Ceremony was 3:30-4, cocktail hour 4-5 (additional wedding party & extended family photos were taken then, besides what they did after first look at 1:30), they were announced into the reception at 5:15 and everything wrapped up at 10 (Saturday night wedding).

Talk to your photographer. Depends on the type of pics you want. The one I plan to hire I spoke to yesterday was so helpful and she will help closer to. For example I want an evening ceremony where the sun is close to setting so I can get some sunset pics as well as night time pics so I want transitioning of the day to night.

Ours starts at 3:30 for the ceremony, end the ceremony around 4 or a a few mins before. Cocktail hour 4-5. Entrance at 5 PM. Served salad and buffet after that. We end the reception at 11 PM.
My ceremony starts at 2 pm. This is the latest I can have it since we are doing a full Catholic mass at our home parish as me and FH are both practicing catholics. Our cocktail hour starts at 5pm and dinner at 6pm. I say start whenever you want and is ok with your venues.
We are doing 3:30. Fiance is catholic and is used to 1 or 2 pm. I would have preferred 4. But this gives us a 3 hour window to take photos between ceremony and reception.
Our ceremony is starting at 5pm, with reception following right after. We are hoping for some good sunset pictures so that’s why we picked the time we did.
Our ceremony was at 5:00 pm. We wanted it be be later in the day because a) we were getting married outside in Florida b) we were having a fairly short reception (1.5 hour cocktails, 2.5 hour dinner) but still wanted to have a nighttime, party feel. It was perfect, especially because it poured until 4:30 pm!
