I have a very hyper puppy. He chewed up a pen and decided to leave it on my night stand as a present to me...on TOP of my promise ring!! I ran to the kitchen to wash it off. It came off of the gold; I cannot say the same for the little diamonds on the band. I have blue diamonds now!! The warranty,...

The warranty, of course, will not cover that. Any one know of something that would be able to clean it? Or do I have permanant blue diamonds?? =( Atleast it's not my engagement ring, but I'm still sad. THANKS!

Thank you Genevieve! Thanks, Hillary. That makes me feel a lot better. So hopefully in time it will all be gone.

My aunt has a story of her mom getting the fresh milk (they lived on a farm) and soaking her new white sweater that some kid from school threw in on it.

Lol that is so funny. My mother grew up on a farm as well, and my grandma sold milk and cheese, but she never told us about that trick. I am going to ask her, maybe he had heard of it. I will try it on my clothes because, unfortunatelly, it did not work on my ring lol It was in the milk for like 8 hours and it didn't come off. Thank you for letting me know about the milk anyways. I am sure that knowledge will come in handy in the future =)

Sorry I don't have any suggestions but I do want to warn you to be very careful after using all the chemicals and soaks. It may fade the silver and wear the prongs down. Be very careful and check the prongs daily to make sure that you don't lose any of the diamonds.

Thank you J.J. The prongs I have been checking. Everytime I am going to try and clean it, I make sure they are all in there lol But all the soaking I hadn't thought about. I was too worried about the ink, so good point.

So just in case anyone wants an update, or someone comes here looking for a solution: Nothing at home worked. I tried all the suggestions and the ink did not come out. I went to the jewelers and they said OH! THAT'S SIMPLE and they just dropped it in their cleaning solution for 20 min and it was all beautiful again! and it's free, so don't waste time and peace of mind trying to get it out at home just take it right in! =) here are some pictures of my ring all cleaned up!
