BETTY

I met my sweety and shy guy in the summer of my 8th grade year. We began to talk online since he lived in Northern, Ca and I lived in Southern, Ca. We chatted day and night for a year and a half. My sister and his brother met through us and had a very short relationship before they decided to get married. Once they were married, I got to see my best friend, Adan, on most holidays and any vacation I could use as an excuse to fly to Sacramento to "visit my sister."  I had never had a friend as close as Adan and I could feel a crush starting to develope. I was a "hard ass", tomboyish, rough around the edges and somewhat of a trouble maker. While adan was quiet, shy, incapable of  screaming at another human being. We were total opposites, and I truely believe that is the reason why we clicked so well. The day after our niece (my sister and his brother's daughter) was born I was at the hospital visiting my sister. He text me letting me know that he was on his way to see our brand new niece. The day before we had made a bet on the Lakers v. Kings basketball game. Unfortunatelly, the Lakers lost! =( (but for a good cause!) When I text him as I sat on the bench, in the cold wind, outside the hospital, I asked him SO WHAT DO YOU WANT, SINCE YOU WON THE BET he said what Can i have? and I said ANYTHING AS LONG AS IT'S UNDER $20 (I was 15 at the time lol) he replied with.....YOU. I couldn't believe what my eyes were reading!!!!!! My heart was pounding and racing and i wanted to reply: YES YES YES! I LOVE YOU!  Instead, I said SURE. He arrived at the hospital we played it cool, but inside I was jumping with joy.  That night we went for a walk at the park and he told me that he had been having feelings and all that good stuff. He told me he loved me on the first date and I have loved him ever since! We are now going on 7 years in a few months and I love him more everyday. We have gone through some tough things because his family is.."weird."  We have gone through the death of his brother (my sister's husband), and his mother's death 3 years after that.  We have been talking about marriage for the last 2 years, but we both agree that we are too young for it now.  He has not properly proposed yet, but he has been acting weird lately. He's been saving money very diligently, staring at my hands, asking things that he NEVER would have paid attention to before like *what do you think of that girl's[engagement] ring" I think it's coming soon!   We said we would like a wedding within the next 3 year and we know that we want to spend the rest of our lives together and I love looking at everyone's wedding planning and issues that they run into with the family and their in-laws, which will be my biggest problem.  Wow that got long! Sorry!!
