    There is such a thing as anything you want. It's your wedding and you are welcome to do what you want. Just remember that the more dances you do the more you are taking up the dance floor from your guests.

    I'm with Glenn & Honey, I did those exact dances. If you break it up a little and have your guests dancing in between to get the party started then adding another dance shouldn't be to big of a deal. But just keep in mind your guest want to get up and dance so don't keep them in their seats for too long.

    I'm doing first dance and a dance with the bridal party, but you can do all the dances you want, just be mindful of what Glenn said, and it could also be very boring for your guests to sit there and what all these dances.

    Do the dances you want if your worried about the guests getting board then start the dance get a few pix and then have someone anownce ? (sorry about the spelling) to the guests to join in the dance example father daughter dance yyou start get pix and have other father come and dance with their daughters to i have seen it done and its varry touching way to include guest in wedding and get them to dance too.

    Honey B mentioned the full list of traditional dances - however there can be any type of dance you'd like. Here are a few examples of some of the "other" dances I've seen:

    * Parents dance (just for them)

    * Bride and brother(s) dance

    * Groom and daughter(s) dance

    As you can see the dance options are limited by only what you can think of.

    The one thing to remember is - there's no wrong or right way to do things - there's only YOUR WAY!

    Enjoy the day!

    Congratulations!

    We are doing 2 dances for sure

    1st dance & Father/daughter

    I thought about Mother/son but Fh hasn't really shown much interest but there's still time.

    Maybe an anniversary dance or just a special dance for my parents who will celebrating 29 years 10 days later.

    My father recently passed away, and my mother casually mentioned to me the other day that she'd like to find a song for a mother-daughter dance, Lucinda. Does anyone have song ideas?

    We're also doing first dance, mother/son, the dollar dance, and, of course, the Chicken Dance! (I'm Pennsylvania Polish, we have to!)

    We are just doing first dance. I didn't want to inundate the reception with a bunch of dances that don't involve everyone.

    We are doing the father/daughter, mother/son |which I also get to participate in Smiley smile | and now I'm considering the bride/brother dance. We are letting our guest join in on the dances as well so they don't have to just sit and watch.

    Just my 2 cents, but I've been to a few weddings with waaay to many special dances and even though its really special to the couple....don't forget that there's a room full of people just sitting there waiting to eat, or dance, or whatever. That being said, we're doing mother/son, father/daughter, and money dance.
