Spankx.....Do your Spanks roll down??

Carole M (a.k.a "old tart"), on November 10, 2010 at 5:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

Okay, there was a lovely bride who was totally gutless who just posted beautiful pics. There was mention of Spanks. I bought a pair and tried to wear it with a dress to a wedding, once I started dancing, they started to roll, and I wound up taking them off and tossing them. Does everyone else have this problem with body armor or is it because I am a shortie and short waisted?

I tried an imitation pair and decided to not even wear them out because they kept doing the same thing. I have a short torso too and it was just really weird and awkward lol. Maybe one of those ones that has like a built in bra so it goes all the way up and isn't slouching?

One of my pairs can be attached to my bra. I haven't tried to do that, but maybe that's an option?

My understanding is that this is typically the result of getting the wrong size. I had the ones that came up to just under my boobs, and they did not roll down all night.

Some of the "seamless" ones do that, the ones without the waitband. I prefer some of the other brands to spanx personally. Try Nordy's Rack. They have TONS.

Mine never rolled down either. The lady at the store made me try them on then checked me to make sure it was the right size. next time you might wanna try that.

Thanks....I had the right size, and they came up under my boobs too. I do have big boobs and a very short waist.

I guess I should try another brand, or a slip that is all one piece.

I have the ones that come up right under the bra but I've never had a problem with it rolling down. I would try a shorter cut maybe or maybe a different size?

I'm short too and did research online about buying Spanx before I bought my first pair; unfortunately, it seems that those of us with shorter bodies just have difficulties with Spanx. My wedding dress is strapless, so I'm ordering the Spanx currently being sold on Jcrew.com in the wedding section. It's a strapless slip, so I'm hoping that will held hold the hip fat and tummy in for the pictures. Smiley smile

If you find anything good, let me know because I had the help of a Nordstrom sales person and I'm still suffering from Spanx roll.

Thanks for the compliment (asuming it's me lol)

This is what I have. I just called it spanx because that's what I call all sucker inner thingies. It's called a "slimming slip"

Mine's in a nude color. There's tons online and at department stores.

    Thanks everyone!

My generic word is body armor!

@STBMrs.Allen....Yes, it was you! My goodness, You don't have a gut, and don't even need Spankx. Re your slip....I favor them as well. The two I have for dress up now have the option of straps, and they hold the boobs up nicely too.

Okaaaay. So every time I read the title of this post my brain goes into song mode.

To the tune of "Do Your Ears Hang Low?"

    Do your Spanx roll down?

Do they fall down to the ground?

    .... that's as far as I've gotten.

    Anyone else with this problem?

Yup, that's what I wear. I was at Kholes (or Macy's, can't remember) and i saw some with an "extra" sucker inner pannel on the front. haven't tried them on yet, but it's nice to know they do exist Smiley smile

@Ms. Boop...Honestly, I tossed the pair I bought in the trash in the bathroom. They just kept rolling down. Re the Marilyn Monroe armor, is it a one piece? I have seen one piece armor, but then you can't pull them down. That could be a serious potty issue.

    @Giggles....Glad I could help out!

My first pair ever rolled down like crazy! It drove me nuts! I got a second pair of another brand and have never had a problem with them. I'd try a smalller size- if you can breathe, they're too big! Ha!

I also got some that have a corset type lining that keeps things nice and tight. They are bitch to get on and off- but do wonders once they are on!
