Songs that make you cry...

I was going to say "If You're Reading This" by Tim McGraw. Also the new Toby Keith song "Crying For Me" makes me SUPER sad! ANY daddy/daughter song makes me tear up. Also "You're Gonna Miss This".

I can't watch those ASPCA commercials...I have to change the channel and give my pups a tight squeeze...

Then a week ago I heard a country song about a man going on deployment being killed and leaving a letter to his wife and the child he never got to meet and I completely lost it

@ Aussie - I just heard Temporary Home for the first time while at work today, and it made me want to bawl my eyes out! These songs just dig their talons right in.

They definately do Terran. I think ive heard it about 50 times now and I still get really emotional. I think this is partly due to the fact that we want to adopt a child so the start of it just makes me cry

"One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men-this came out when I was a kid after my friend was killed so I always think of her when I hear this.

And "Amazing Grace" especially when played with bagpipes. I'm part Irish so all of the funerals I've been to over the past 20some years have had bagpipes play this. Even in movies it brings me to tears when I hear it!

Aussie, I'm pretty sure that's If You're Reading This and yeah... Every single time. Sometimes I have to pull over. I so badly want to have kids with my FH, but with him in the Army I just feel like it would be such a tragedy for her/his daddy to miss birthdays and maybe not see them grow up. Oh man. Here come the tears again

Now I also love the original by whomever- can't remember. but this one I have in my playlist and one day when I heard it I just started bawling. FH came into room and was like what's wrong with you? I was like just dance with me and listen. He did and by the end of the song, tears were in his eyes. he was like- "Oh, OK, I get it" we kissed and realized we'd found our song! by accident!

And i am a singer, I love so many song and this crazy song just kills me!

Any song about a child or daughter growing up makes me cry---(my little girl-tim mcgraw..quite a few darius rucker songs..etc.) because I don't want my lil Peanut to grow up (she's 9 months old). Also I loved her first because it's the song my gpa and I will dance to. Charlie Pride's kiss an angel good morning and one more day by Diamond Rio because they were both played at my grandmas funeral in november. :-( I'm a huge cryer with commercials as well! I am very emotional planning this wedding since my gma died recently..she was like my mom so I get hit hard a lot. You're def not alone!

I'm with MDLS.. that commercial and that song kills me.. I have to leave the room fast if FH is in there because he is always making fun of me because I'm such a baby. I've cried at like every single movie I've watched lately, too. And One Tree Hill.. I've been bawling watching that.. The worst part of hearing a song that makes me bawl usually means in reality I actually LOVE the song.. so I listen to it over and over.. and I cry and cry.. just so I get it all out of me before I get home to FH! Haha!

I cry at everything anymore... just reading the titles of these songs make me tear up.

I have one more. Has anyone seent he new folgers commercial where the dad is making coffee and the daughter comes in and he's chiding her about being out really late the night before. and she tells him he wont have to worry any more and shows him her engagement ring. And then he says something about yeah thats what i told him when we talked last week???

@ Melissa - YES! The ASPCA and Humane Society Commercials. Every time Angel by Sarah Mclachlan comes on, I think of that and ball my eyes out. You can bet I've been a member for a while If I had a job, I would just sign all of my paychecks over to them.

@ Pumpkin - The Story is such a beautiful song, it makes me "feel" something when I hear it. I'm a HUGE Brandi fan (have all 3 of her albums, listen to regularly), you can bet I'll be playing her music at my reception and maybe leading up to the ceremony. There are a lot of other songs that might work for the aisle, if you like her style.
