So many decisions to make i don't know what to do.

Hey fellow brides I'm looking for some advice and thoughts. We are due to marry in vegas May27th 2020, a little over 30days away, with everything being closed we have been thinking about a plan B,C,D lol!! so our options are- we live in California and Anaheim is doing mini ceremonies (only one witness is allowed) where we can still get married on our selected date and reschedule the ceremony to next year 2021 and do it as a vow renewal, or we reschedule for the summer of 2020 in vegas and hope that its partially open at that point, or we just totally reschedule for next year ( this is our plan D because I really don't want to wait that long). HELP! what would you do? I should mention we chose may 27th because that is our current anniversary so the date has meaning to it which is making this decision that much harder.

I love your vow renewal idea! Get married in a month just you two, and celebrate next year!

It's a personal choice, but I'd marry on original date and then do a vow renewal next year. I'm no expert, but without a vaccine I don't see how anyone will be comfortable traveling and being in large crowds until then.

I agree with you ladies, get married on your actual day and have a big reception the next year.

Your original date has a special meaning so go ahead and get married that day and then do a vow renewal and reception next year.

We're getting married on our original day at church and postponed our reception to November. We'll do a secular ceremony/vow renewal then. Hoping we won't have to move it to 2021 but that's what we'll do if we need to.

    Hi Alicia,

I'm so sorry you are having to change your plans! But, I love the suggestions above. If I were in your shoes, I think I would get married in a small ceremony and then have a larger party next year or even a few months down the road.

You are definitely not alone right now! We've started gathering initial tips and resources from WeddingWire here: COVID-19 Wedding Support Central

    I hope this helps!

    Smiley heart
