Welcome to WW! I understand what you mean about The Knot. I have never posted but I read over some of the forums and was instantly turned off. I don't post often here either but the environment is much better here than on The Knot. Plus, I can get on this site at work (they block certain sites including The Knot). So it worked out better for me.

Welcome to WW! I am sorry to read you had issues on another forum.

As Hayley mentioned, most of us are honest, and won't blow smoke up your butt. However, the girls on this forum are extremely helpful.

@ Ashleigh M. I too was on The knot and it only took me a day well a half of day to realize they all was evil. That same day I joined WW and I truly love this site. All the women here is very supportive and truthful and they don't tear you down.

Welcome! I also started out on the Knot...I used the site for months for the planning tools and never even read the posts....but the day I did I asked to have my account deleted! I couldnt believe the things those ladies wrote about each other....definitely did not want to have anything to do with that site!! You will not find that kind of brutality here

Wooooooooooow... So sorry.. it's funny because I was actually going to start my planning with theknot.com because I had seen their magazines and everything, but my cousin went to WW when she was getting married so I went on.. I actually didn't even realize there was a forum here for a while so I just dinked around on the wedding website and stuff.. and then........ I found these brilliant ladies.

I just wanted to add to this post - because I googled something like "unfriendly Knot, wedding sites" and it came to your post LOL!

I've had about a week of rude posts, responses, etc. and decided today I have had enough as well! And to think I was so gosh-darned excited to join right after I got engaged.

So I am a newbie, and need to get to work on my little profile - the friendliness on just this post alone was enough to switch me for good

Too funny, that's exactly how I found WW as well!! Well let me be the first to say welcome! I've been extremely pleased with WW thus far; I even felt comfortable writing a post regarding invites the other week and I received really great responses! We're happy to have you on here!

I know this is an *ancient* post, but it still holds true in 2017. I tried out the Knot forums, and they were sooooo catty and awful. The people on there enjoy telling brides that they're stupid and will harass you constantly if you have a difference of opinion with the know-it-alls who think they're the experts. Absolutely the worst forums I've ever come across. I did a google search and found Wedding Wire. I hope it still holds true that it's a friendlier site. It can't be *worse,* so I'll read your forum for a while....
