I agree-- call her, email her again, and then have a lawyer write a letter. If you don't have a lawyer or any lawyer friends, legalshield.com might be helpful.

If it said 8 weeks in your contract, I'd have been calling and emailing her daily once the 9 week mark hit. It's nice to be a bit flexible and give a week but any more than that and she is really breaching contract.

Do you have a phone number? She'd be making me nervous at this point, and for what you paid, definitely call her.

I agree with wht others have said, definately get in contact with her even if it means making several attempts. It's odd for time to go that long without even a few preview photos

Have you heard anything from the photographer since the wedding?

I would call and email her now with a message along the lines of "Please let us know an ETA on the photos. If you have not presented us with a reasonable timeline within 5 days, we will have to take further action."

Leave it vague, don't make any true threats. If her contract said 8 weeks, then she is already in breach, but you don't want to risk angering of scaring her so much that you might not get the photos at all.

Call, call, and keep on calling.

I don't have my photographers phone # and can't find it on her contract or her website. She has not gotten in touch with me at all since our wedding. I know that not everyone checks their email everyday, but if you're a photographer it seems you should be checking it regularly - especially if thats the only form of contact. Hopefully I will hear back from her soon....I don't want her to think badly of me, but its getting really old waiting and waiting without knowing whats going on. I'm starting to think 'are the photos horrible??' and getting all self-conscious about it!

How about facebook, are you able to find her on there? Most of the photographers I've found/know usually has their business on FB as well.

Oh my gosh, that's crazy :-/ I snooped on your profile and saw who was listed as your photographer. She has a facebook and a twitter, and the links are right on her site. She posted on Twitter just 7 hours ago. I would start tweeting her as well "Hey.. did you get my e-mail, could you please get back to me?"

She shouldn't think badly of you, she's overdue on her time, and just not getting back to you in several days is rude and not at all professional.

I would go to their webpage get their address of the studio & go there. For $3,000.00 and for once in a lifetime photos, I would be right there in their parking lot waiting.

They should have given you a least an unedited DVD by now or access to some of your photos online

I got sneak peeks the next day and the fully edited cd with over 900 photos 9 days later. Call, text, email, go to her studio--whatever you need to do to get ahold of her. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Try emailing her again to make sure it went through and then if she doesn't respond contact her through facebook.

Create a new e-mail account and e-mail her as if you were someone looking for photography services and see how quickly she gets back to you...if she returns your fake e-mail quickly then you know she's ignoring you...just a thought

UPDATE....so I ended up messaging my photographer on facebook about 5 days after emailing her because she never got back to me. She messaged me back right away saying she got my email but didn't have all our photos ready yet, and there was another wedding she was working on before she finished ours. She said that she would send me a preview today.....so far its 8:38pm and still have not received anything messages from her with a preview I don't want anything to get ugly....but am very disappointed and think she should put a different timeframe in her contract so her clients have a better idea of what to expect.

I'm wondering why she didn't email you back even though she received your email. It's a bit fishy and a lot annoying. I would give her a couple more days to get herself together and then I would take action. If the contract says 8 weeks, you are well within your right to do something about it.

I know! thats what i was wondering too.....pretty annoying. I understand shes probably busy, but wedding photos are a big deal and being ignored is very frustrating.
