You do whatever it is you want to do. I walked from our venue to the hotel, in my dress, and then changed out of it when it was time for bed lol.

Definitely wear your gown to the hotel -- you'll get lots of best wishes, compliments, and maybe some goodies if the hotel realizes that it is your wedding night!

Yup, why not? I would wear it as long as possible, especially seeing as how you likely won't be wearing it again.

I 100% plan on wearing mine into a Steak N' Shake when I begin craving a chocolate/banana malt at 2:oo AM.

I'm wearing my dress as long as possible because that shit was expensive.

I was told to change in to a smaller dress before we go to the hotel. We aren't taking a limo or anything, so I'm on the fence on whether or not to change right before we leave.

I wore my dress back to the hotel and didn't want to change until I went to bed. I loved my dress.

I stayed in my wedding dress and just changed out of it when I got to the hotel. I didn't get a limo ride to the hotel either....my friend drove us. No biggie.

My dress is so comfy, I might sleep in it!

After working at the front desk of a downtown hotel, I can tell you brides are walking through our lobby in their dresses all the time!

Staying in mine, likely for the after party at the hotel as well! Everyone else will be dressed up too!

I wore it to the hotel afterwards. While we were waiting to check in there was a group in front of us and I was tired of being on my feet so I plopped down right there and sat on the floor haha

Everyone loves a bride. Of course you can wear your gown to the hotel. You'll be congratulated as you pass everyone from those who happen to be walking out while you're walking in, to the doorman, to those in the lobby, to those at the desk, and to those you meet in the elevator and the hallway. Yes, of course -- wear your gown. The last words that should be ringing in your ears as you finally close that door are "Congratulations!".
