Mine is both wedding band and engagment. My fiance has been a gold miner as long as he could walk. So together we melted down and mixed the metals needed to make my righ wnd his. Its not flashy, or big. But to me its beautiful! It shares our story together in one. We got to make somwthing together that will last a life time. I couldnt be more hapoy with the way it turned out.

The wedding and engagement rings are symbolic of a couple's love , and promise to marry. That is their value. Foolish to judge such symbols by the size of the stone or ring.

I love my small ring! It is so perfect because I never wear any jewelry and I am not a big flashy person!

My cousin and ex sil but said they wouldn't marry someone unless they proposed with at least a 2 carat diamond. They were cray cray lol. I would have been fine with any size. My mom thinks my diamond is huge and some people think it's small. I think it's perfect for me. I have super short fingers so a big diamond would have looked weird on me

Engagement Ring

Mine it small (the pic is misleading), it doesn't have any diamonds in it, it is not gold, isn't a single stone, it isn't typical... I LOVE IT!! It is totally me! He picked something that is 100% my style!

Onto the story--- we are paying for our own wedding. I paid for my own dress and could have afforded whatever I wanted (I don't say this to sound stuck up it has value to the story)...

I went to a bridal salon and the bridal assistant was joking and super friendly and over the top enthusiastic, but HEY, I am a bride that is kinda how you expect to be treated! Then she was like OH MY GOD LET ME SEE YOUR RING! ... She saw it and her attitude changed immediately. She was like that is ummm (?? perplexed voice ??) beautiful! She then basically rushed through my appointment and because very dismissive to the point that my people that were with me actually were like WHAT HAPPENED! ... I was ready to buy my dress that day from that place, but she ruined her sale...

The point is I do not understand why people get so weird about the ring... I am the one who has to wear it everyday! It should be my style! The $$ has nothing to do with it!

My ring is smaller too and not the traditional diamond (it's labradorite instead). I absolutely love it! I have small hands so a bigger ring would look ridiculous on me and I'm not one to wear jewelry anyway so this ring is perfect.

I think that the ring can be whatever makes you happy. People who judge you based on that will never know the true story behind the ring, and that's what really matters.
