Small/tiny engagement and wedding rings? Let's show them off!

I hear some people talking badly about small engagement or wedding rings, as if because they're small, our partner does not care or put as much thought into it. I say forget that! Show them off here! This is mine. We picked it out on our first trip to Disneyland 2 years ago. It's small and simple...

This is mine. We picked it out on our first trip to Disneyland 2 years ago. It's small and simple and everything I could want 💖

I've gotten several comments that it's a promise ring or it's tiny or whatever. I don't care. I picked it out because I work outside and with my hands and I wouldn't even wear something bigger for fear of losing it. A girl that got engaged shortly before me had a HUGE ring and was less than impressed with mine. I love this ring, and more than that, the man who gave it to me. That's all that matters!

Your bands look great together! Love the nail color! And yes, I agree, crazy! My friend who just got engaged was telling me some people think there is a "three month salary rule," where the engagement/wedding rings should each cost three months salary. Ummm, no thank you! Lol

That is UNACCEPTABLE! I can't believe she would act like that, especially because that ring is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Totally unique to you and your fiancé! I adore it! I agree, our rings have nothing to do with anybody else, and does not define how much our love with our partners is worth. So sorry you had to deal with that! Smiley sad

Exactly. It sounds like almost everyone in this thread has a story behind how they got their rings. Heck, my fiancé could have gotten my rings from Walmart and I would have been JUST as thrilled to marry him! It's not about the money! It's about the love you share!

You know what's funny, my wedding ring (which I will post a pic of after work) was actually advertised as a promise ring! Lol. Your rings are BEAUTIFUL. Very simple and elegant. I love the way you worded, "I love this ring, and more than that, the man who gave it to me." You took the words right out of my mouth! That really is ALL the matters! Smiley heart

Thank you!! The salesman definitely made it clear to us that this was "traditionally a promise ring" and that we really ought to be looking at something bigger. Never forget they work on commission Smiley tongue

"I love this ring, and more than that, the man who gave it to me." Thanks for this! I agree this is perfect! My ring is perfectly me, and I am marrying the guy who gave it to me because he is a guy that knows 2 hearts in an infinity with our birthstones and names on my favorite type of metal would mean more to me because it symbolizes our love perfectly and what we want for our life together than a ring that is considered normal/standard.

A ring is a symbol of love, a physical representation of promise, and the start of our future together!

All the rings that I have seen here are beautiful, and I am so glad to know there are lots of women out there who aren't shallow and wear their rings with pride! Smiley heart

It was dumb... She accomplished nothing except making me annoyed, hurting that business, and losing a sale. I ended up finding a very similar dress for cheaper somewhere else and had fun while trying up, so really it was gain!

People made terrible remarks about mine at a wedding I was in before my own. But no one who every knew me ever said anything but, it suits you, ir, have to meet your FH, he knows you well for someone who has not been around long! Just a plain venetian glass ring ( a high tech glass) painted with enamel. Cobalt blue with a wreath of tiny flowers ( engagement) and matching blue enamel band . But when my hands are not in medical gloves, I am often using power tools, making orthotics and braces. And spare time, a half time farmer, orchards, berries, market garden, syrup. And for fun, flowers. And quilting, and fiddle and flute, and electric fiddle. And DH knew I would never keep on a metal band of any kind, electrocution risk, and stones and prongs don't do well under constant glove changes and washing. So why bother with something I would never have on. And the second I saw them, I was so happy. I had a love who wanted to marry the woman I am, not a fantasy I would never be.

Here is my wedding ring! An amethyst heart with ten small diamonds on each side! The website advertised it as a promise ring, but it's the perfect wedding ring in my eyes!
