Small wedding package in Socal

Paola, on March 10, 2021 at 8:26 PM Posted in California Planning 0 8

Hi everyone,

Like many of you, I had to cancel my original wedding plan in my Hometown in Italy. I'm now looking for a small (30 or less people) wedding in SoCal (we're open to LA, Ojai, Telecula, Paso areas). Don't have a specific date in mind but we'd like to do it before mid-October 2021.

Since I don't have the time to plan another wedding, we're looking for a venue that could be an "all inclusive" and type thing, where I can have all (or most) of the guests stay at the venue, have a small symbolic ceremony, reception and then just chill for drinks etc. If there was a place with a pool where we can hang out by next day it would be a dream! I had zero luck with airbnb or vrbo as they don't allow parties.

Does anyone have any suggestion for a place like that, or for a venue that is all inclusive and affordable (looking to stay ideally under the $10-12K for 30 people)

THANKS!

You can look into hotels and see what they offer. All inclusive venues have 5 figure minimums for food/beverage that you must meet so that will not work with a low budget. If you are willing to sacrifice the all inclusive aspect you can possibly make it work. Browse the wedding planners on Instagram to see if they can help you out such as AnythingbutGray and 3LittleBirds which are in the L.A. area.

So Cal is expensive so look into joining a Sun-Thur night wedding.

Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is gorgeous but you’d want to negotiate a good hotel room deal because it’s a pricey resort.
In Temecula, Ponte, South Coast Winery and Carter Estate are all nice winery resorts. Keep in mind, the vineyards are in bloom June-September but it’s also expensive. Definitely Sun-Thur wedding. Weekends require a 2-night stay.

So they don’t offer catering or anything, but Shay Meadows Ranch and Inn in Big Bear may be an option for you. They have a few restaurant options down the road for catering options and two large houses on property. When my sister got married there in 2019, they had the entire property from Thursday to Sunday.

We’re getting married at the Kimpton Canary in Santa Barbara. They have a tiny wedding package (10-30ppl) that is almost all inclusive. We’ve had a wonderful experience with their wedding coordinator.

Yes, we’re only having 12 people but they would allow 30 if we wanted.

Thank you! I love that location and the package makes it so much easier! While you were looking for this, did you come across any other hotels or venues that offered similar packages?

    Thanks!

The Kimpton Shorebreak in Huntington Beach has all inclusive wedding packages, and it's a great destination location. They would be able to fit well within your budget for 30 people too.
