Small wedding invites

So we're having a semi small wedding only about 80 people which is mostly immediately family and only close friends... everyone is telling me I should invite more people because some people aren't going to come... which I anticipate I suppose but I dont want to invite an extra 10 people and everyone show up lolll cant afford that 😂 not sure what to do lol

Invite who you can afford. There are plenty of people on here who have had near 100% attendance.

If you told someone you were inviting 500 people, they would tell you to invite less. People have to give "advice" at every turn. Do what you want and only what you want!

Yeah but the other thing is if we invite 80 and only 70 show up we still have to pay for a minimum of 75 because the venue usually requires minimum 100 but they're working with us 🙄

A lot of times if you don't hit your minimum the venue will let you add on things like a late night snack or a nicer bar in order to meet it rather than just pay for unused meals. Maybe inquire if this is something your venue will do.

We're only inviting 70 people and we definitely anticipate some of them not showing which is fine with us. I originally wanted 30 so I'm completely okay with less people. I wouldn't invite people just to have a bigger guest count, invite the most important people in y'all s life.

Yeah so I think I'm going to send out invitations early enough so that if we dont meet the minimum 75 I can send out a few more invitations lol
