My photographer is bringing an assistant and we are having around 80 people. It wasn't mentioned in the package we purchased so I am like cool if it didn't raise the price of what we already agreed upon. It didn't so I am okay with it.

I think the photographer and the assistant should be able to get the photographs done, since your having a small wedding two people would be enough.

We had a wedding of around 60 and I had two photographers. They both got different views and angles, especially of the ceremony, so I'd go with the two if you can.

We had a 50 guest wedding and we only had a photographer and assistant. There are some shots I feel like we missed (like one shooting me coming up the aisle and another shooting him watching me) but she did well enough getting pics of both of us. Really during the ceremony was the only time. One photographer was fine for all the rest of the evening.

Wooo this is comforting because I am only having one photographer and a 60-65 guest wedding and I was worried that one wouldn't be enough!

@Maggie - you do know the assistant doesn't take pictures right? He/she just holds the light, handles the photo list, etc. An assistant is not the same as second shooter.

A "second shooter" will cost you more. An assistant will do. Please be sure you have a must shoot list to give to your photographer and your DOEC ladies. This will help a-lot!!!! Let me know if you need more tips.
