Small intimate wedding of 50?

Latonya, on September 5, 2019 at 3:10 AM Posted in Planning 1 4
I want to have a elegant, romantic wedding with great decor and great food without breaking the bank. So I opted for an intimate affair. What is your ceremony and reception timeline and events to keep guests entertained the entire night? I want this to be fun. I have no clue how to plan the timeline and I have 58 days to go. Help!

My wedding ceremony is 330 to 4 at the venue. Then cocktail hour 4 to 5 with apps, and we will take photos during this time. 5 to 9 is the reception which we will be introduced as newlyweds, followed by dinner and toasts. First dance will occur 6-630 and we will open the dance floor. At this point it's dancing and socializing...no other events. We want to enjoy our party 😉.

We are having a relatively short wedding I suppose (5 hrs) and we'll have cocktail hour from 4-5, first dance at 5:10 following a welcome from my dad and a blessing before the meal with dinner starting at 5:30. Then I have toasts at 6:15, F/D dance at 6:30, dancing at 6:40, cake cutting at 7:20, bouquet/garter toss (if we do them) at 7:35, and last dance at 8:10 with send off at 8:15

You don't have to have much to keep guests entertained as long as there's food, drinks, and people to mingle with!

    Hi!
we will be having 50-60 guests at our intimate wedding, we too opted for a shorter guest list so it would be classy and beautiful while not breaking the bank. Here is our general timeline
    4 PM ceremony
    5 PM cocktail/social hour
6 PM bride groom enter reception
615 PM Buffett style dinner served
(bride and groom sneak out for sunset pictures while guests eat)
    645 PM thank you speeches
7 PM first dance and daddy daughter dance
830 PM cake cutting and ice cream bar opens
    (7-10:30 is the dance party)
we did not want to schedule any little events or activities after the dancing because we want people to mingle and socialize as they wish with ample food, music, and drinks provided!

I always thought about how I wanted guests to be entertained so I considered hiring a magician but to be honest I realized people will definitely entertain themselves.
