Small Budget Destination Wedding

Caitlyn, on August 18, 2019 at 7:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Hi guys! We are just starting our planning and we’re looking for some help! We are wanting to do a destination wedding with our close families, around 20 people, maybe less. We are also going to be 20 at the time so cheaper the better! We are considering either mountain or beaches, we don’t care as long as it has a great view. We would like to stay in the country just so we can skip the extra expense of trying to get the whole family to purchase passports... let me know what you have! We don’t have an exact budget, just looking to get some websites/venues/$ estimates so we can start saving money. Thank you!

If you're not wanting to include a reception or you're ok with holding a reception elsewhere, Simply Eloped is a really good website to check out. Their prices include up to 20 people (or more for an extra charge per person). Good luck!

Were doing the same as you with 20 guests about. Ours in going to be a DW to West Glacier, Montana in Glacier National park for the ceremony and maybe great northern resort for the reception near by. Our budget is 9k for EVERYTHING but if im able to make it cheaper I will. Im at just under that for my approx cost. I'm a diyer so i want to do most of it myself with help of others. We will have only 1 person standing up on each side. Immediate family for guests. Those most expensive things so far will be the venues, videographer, and DOC because we're from WI so i will need help with things being I won't be there. Those costs will be about 25% of the total cost. I am currently doing a savings plan where I deposit a small amount of money to savings account being we will be paying for majority of it. Any help I can help you, we havnt officially started planning but I will definetly help.

Maybe look at venues with a 3-4 hour drive for guests so nobody has to pay for flights. Ask about elopement/private weddings and venues might surprise you with a great rate for a weekday or day wedding (a Thursday night might be ideal).

I would think hotels, resorts or lodges would be ideal since they can offer a discounted nightly rate for you & guests.

The beaches in San Diego only charge a few hundred $ for the permits. There is also a service that will do everything for you from beach permits, to marriage license, minister, photographer, all decorations, etc for GREAT prices. We used them for their largest package which was 50 people and $2500, not counting reception. we would not have changed a thing. They are Dreambeachwedding.com. here are a couple of pics to show you their quality
