Small Beach Wedding Bar Suggestions

Vanessa, on July 23, 2019 at 3:04 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hello,

We’ve decided to have a small bonfire beach wedding (ceremony and reception) and we’ve worked out mostly all the details except the bar. Since, the wedding will be on the beach, no glass allowed. Our guest count is 30 so looking for suggestions on how to proceed. I suppose we could do things like buy bottles of wine and transfer to plastic containers and buy canned beers. Any advice welcome!

Wedding location will be in Miramar Beach, Florida.

If you want to do wine, I'd suggest either getting boxed wine (sounds cheap, but you can actually get some good varieties) or getting plastic decanters/pitchers to pour bottles into beforehand. I think canned beer is probably your best bet unless you get kegs, just so you don't lose carbonation from pre-pouring. And if you want to do mixed drinks, I'd probably pick a signature cocktail or two and make a big batch in a large pitcher with a dispenser.

Definitely get large beverage dispensers for these kind of things

Mixed drinks would be wonderful to incorporate into the mix. Good idea on picking one or two. Thanks!

I love the sound of your wedding, Vanessa. It sounds very intimate and chill!

The PPs have given some fantastic advice on drink options for the wedding. Will the bar be self-service? If so, canned beer, boxed wine and pre-mixed cocktails in dispensers are probably the easiest, most straightforward options!

Thanks, that’s what I’m hoping for!

Originally I was looking for open bar but figured that might be tricky with the no glass thing. Then I was just looking for a bartender but it’s hard to find vendors sometimes especially when I don’t live in the state the wedding will be in. Next option was self serve since it’ll be a chill type of environment. If I do go with self serve, I’ll definitely go with the ideas provided.
