Sleeping with your fiance the night before the wedding

Very couple is different but we lived together anyway so we opted to spend the night together and then separate on the morning for the day after breakfast together.

My DH and I slept together the night before the wedding. It was more relaxing and helped reduce whatever stress and anxiety we might have felt apart from each other. Plus, it was more cost-effective that way since we stayed at a hotel and got the honeymoon suite the whole weekend for free.

Sleep without my man is literally impossible for me. Because we have a hotel for the night of the wedding but check in isn’t until 4 (and obviously we will be busy all day lol) we will be together the night before in the hotel room. I’m the same way. The idea of being apart is cute but really I would much rather actually sleep instead of being stressed. We are sleeping together the night before and separating in the morning.

There is no right or wrong choice here. Talk it over with her and express why each of you feel this way and what will work best. We opted to sleep together. We've lived together for 5 years already so we're used to sharing a bed. Also, we were staying at the hotel the night before so it would have been silly to get 2 rooms for 1 night.

Sleep apart. Im traditional and believe you shouldnt see your significant other until walking down the aisle or the first look

We are sleeping to-gather the night before. cause he will calm my nerves. But he works nights so most nights I sleep alone.

We were planning on staying in the same suite the night before the wedding. However, after he saw how early we were starting for hair and makeup, he decided to get his own hotel room so his beauty sleep wouldn't be disturbed. 😒

We slept together night before and in the morning we went our separate ways and met up again for first look pics

My fiancé and I haven’t really talked about it yet, but I’m kind of on the fence. I think it would be so cute to wake up with her in the morning and then go our separate ways knowing that the next time we see each other that day, it’ll be when I walk down the aisle. But on the other hand I’m superstitious as heck and feel like I should stick to tradition. You’ll definitely want to be well rested for your wedding day, though, so if you want to stay with her, I say go for it!

I was similar to some of the PP. Since we had lived together for about 5 years, it seemed a silly waste of time an money to spend the night apart. We considered it for our families though. With how non-traditional we are, we were trying to 'throw them a bone' in some small areas.

I prefer to sleep alone mostly because my FH works night shift so he's either gone most nights or if he does try to sleep at night he's restless and in turn I never get a full night's sleep. We are sleeping separate the night before. I will be at home, and he is going to go to a groomsmen's house. I also just believe in this tradition and prefer it.

We stayed together! We have lived together for 3.5 years so it felt silly to spend the night apart. We both slept better & had a more relaxing morning. I kissed him goodbye at 8:30 AM and saw him when I walked down the aisle at 5:45 PM. It didn't make the moment any less special for either of us.

I plan to sleep someplace else the night before so we see each other the first time our wedding day when i'm walking up the aisle to him. I worry some about sleep, since neither of us sleep well without the other, but I think we'll be fine.

View Quoted Comment Glad there's one of us here. I live with the man, yes - but that doesn't make the sleep super restful lol. I'm planning on sleeping separately as he'll probably be a night owl, and I'd rather do my own thing the night before. Cheers!
