silly question about my wedding shoes...

Jessa, on November 12, 2010 at 10:11 AM Posted in Planning 0 8

So they arent anything elaborate because FH is not very tall. he is 5'8" and i am 5'4" - i didnt want to look taller than him, so literally, my shoes have a 1.5" heel. all the really wonderful ones i saw were a lot bigger, so i could not get them. they are really pretty, just very simple. they also happen to match this dress i just bought for my bachelorette party PERFECTLY...and i really want to wear them with it!!! would this be awful? should i save them STRICTLY for the wedding as my first official time wearing them without just trying them on? or do you think i should be ok to wear them out before Smiley smile im not worried about ruining them or anything, i dont think that is going to happen. im just nervous this is some sort of silly "bad luck" thing i havent hear about!

I was in the same position! lol i went to a bridal store and actually tried on a bunch and really liked these. the heel is small but still gives you that "sexy" look in a dress. it's not TOO small if you know what i mean!

I'd say wear it to both.......would be nice to be able to get your money's worth out of it. I got flip flops because my husband is only a few inches taller than me and my wedding was outside. I was afraid of sinking in the grass too with any llittle heel. And i'm so clumbsy that was just a better thing to do. But after I bought them, I live near an outlet mall and I found these cute white heels that were only like $8 at the most after 2 discounts.

Well if you aren't worried that your shoes will get dirty, damaged, or anything then I've never heard of any bad luck for wearing shoes before wedding. I would just be worried if they are white/ivory b/c they will get dirty for sure. Plus gotta think about what type of bachelorette party you're having...if its too wild or not Smiley winking

    Have fun either way!

Wear them... never a bad idea to break them in before you try dancing all night at the wedding...

Definitely wear them! I've heard it's a good idea to break in your shoes before the wedding day anyway, so you might as well show them off while you do it.

I wear mine every night around the house for 20 min or so. I want to have them cozy for the wedding. I will probably wear them to the rehearsal and possibly bridal showerSmiley smile I wouldn't wear them out to a club/bar though. You never know who may spill something.
