Shower and Wedding Thank You Notes??

I'm not there yet, but curious to the replies. I thought you'd have to do "two". Obviously ones for the shower & I'd think another for the wedding, but maybe only to people who gave a gift or card at wedding?? or everyone who attended just to say thanks for sharing in our special day?

I will most likely send out thank yous after both.

You should send for both occasions. Also, if you receive a wedding gift, prior to the wedding, you should open it and send a thank you card right away.

You send a thank you for each gift and asap. So if Aunt Bev gave you a shower gift, a random gift of toasting glasses before the wedding and then a wedding gift. You'd send her 3 seperate thank you's and send them out as soon as you recieved each gift.

I am planning on sending out a card for any gift I get, so I will do both, if I get gifts from the same people at the wedding.

Yes I'm definitely sending a first set of thank you notes after the shower, and then another set after the wedding.

One after the shower and then one after the wedding. However, I don't agree that you need to send wedding thank you's as soon as you get the gift. I'm waitign to make photo cards with our wedding pictures, so they'll get a card after the wedding. I don't think most people expect a wedding thank you beforehand.

I sent out shower thank yous right away, then will send wedding ones after the honeymoon.
