Show me your wedding cake! How much did you pay?

Sabrina, on October 2, 2017 at 2:17 AM Posted in Planning 0 21

Show me pictures of your wedding cakes and how much it cost you, how much people it was meant to feed. I'm wondering what price range wedding cakes are?

Meh. Don't know how much of a help I'll be because we went "non-traditional." We both hated all the cakes we tasted. We chose a coffee-cake wedding cake because we are huge coffee drinkers and absolutely love coffee-cake. Everyone loved our wedding cake and we had enough for 80 people. We had our cake as a display piece and to feed each other. There was a sheet pan in the back of the venue for our guests. Our cake was $220 including tax, tip, and delivery fee.

I have updated it, avoided it as I didn't want to log into my desktop haha.

I also requested it to be added in the forum that was posted, but I hid it now.

This was our cake and it was a golden cake on the inside with buttercream frosting inside and out. It was plenty for our 60 guest wedding. They only cut the middle and bottom tier and that was plenty for the 60 guests we had. We even had half of the middle layer leftover. ( Which was a delicious breakfast the next day) We kept it simple and it cost us $200. ETA spelling is hard

This is the inspo photo we sent a small local bakery. We just wanted a cake for the cake cutting, so it's one 10in tier to feed about 20 people, but it will probably just get boxed up for our small intimate brunch the next morning. And he is charging us 50 dollars, but not delivering it.

This is ours except it will have royal blue and coral calla lilies. It feeds 125, our final number is 107. Our venue gave us an allowance of $3 per person towards our cake. Total cake cost was about $620 and we paid that difference.

Our top tier will be free arrow's arrow lol. It's a chocolate gf cake and then we have a red velvet regular sheet cake to be served. With out few gf guests getting he option of the gf cake. We also got one vegan cupcake for our vegan guest.

Lol my husband after the cake was in his face. But it was vanilla with a Boston cream filling it fed 150 people and it was included with our venue price but the bakery typically charges 200 plus tax and gratuity

We paid $495. It was a strawberries and whipped cream cake with buttercream Icing. This included the shipping. It was so delicious! I could have done without the pink bows. But other than that we were very pleased. It served about 110 people and we had a bunch left over. Plus our bakery will make us a small cake for our anniversary instead of us having to freeze the top layer!

I have no idea how much we actually paid for our cake - it was included in the package with our venue. It's was multiple layers of deliciousness, though! The bottom layer was vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling, and the middle layer was chocolate cake with strawberry filling. I'm looking forward to having the top layer (duplicate of the bottom) next weekend!

We had a small tiered cake, and we also had one 10" cake and one 8" cake in the back -- altogether it was about 90 servings. We're in NYC, and we paid $540.

This is my inspo pic. Bottom tier 10in round 1 in tall, middle tier 8in round 2in tall, top tier 6in round 2in tall, two tiers of funfetti, one tier of carrot cake with pineapple filling, 49 servings, includes delivery. The total cost also includes a separate "honeymoon cake" that they box up for bride/ groom to take home. Total = $398.98

I know it's hard to see, but we did a small 2 tier cake and then just sheet cake. Served 70 people and cost us $350.
