Show me your RSVP card wording

Andrea, on December 13, 2011 at 2:46 PM Posted in Planning 0 19

I'd love to see how you all are wording your RSVP cards. I'm trying to think of some creative alternatives to "will accept with pleasure"/"must decline with regret."

I remember a while back someone posted that their FH older aunt declined but scratched out the regret part and added happy or something like that. Love it. I'm going to add to my watch list for the future

Yes, I remember that one! Very funny. Hayley's last example reminded me of that one.

    Number the rsvps!

Take your guest list and number the couples, then number the corresponding rsvp. A little pencil number on the back of the RSVP will help a lot if anyone forgets to write their name... AND it makes it easy to find them on your list if you are tracking them all in one location. You can just put them in numerical order as they show up.

I am actually putting the guests names on the RSVP cards. This way there is no confusion with who is invited and I don't have to number them. I also feel it is a nice personal touch. If their is only one person listed and they want to bring a date they will call and ask (I know our families well).

    Ex:

    Joe ______ accepts with pleasure

    ______ declines with regret

    Nancy ______ accepts with pleasure

    ______ declines with regret
