So my FH apparently wanted to surprise me for the holidays. He started asking me questions yesterday and finally just caved and said he is too nervous about spending that kind of money on jewelry without my input since I don't wear jewelry (I am extremely allergic to nickel, it burns my skin, so I usually skip jewelry all together). I started helping him find/design a wedding band to which he said "shouldn't we start with the engagement ring and match the band to that". It never even crossed my mind that I would get an e-ring, so I was kind of in shock. He started asking questions about ring styles and carat size and I am now so lost and a little stressed. I want to pick something I love but all of these decisions are intimidating.... Solitaire, studded, 3 stone, Halo.... There are so many choices my head is spinning so I decided to ask you for some help. Can you show me your engagement ring and tell me a little about it? If you helped design or chose your ring, how did you decide on that particular one? How did you decide what carat size to pick, what setting to choose, and wether or not to add accent stones? I feel stupid not knowing about all of this stuff and I tend to be indecisive in general so this one is kinda tough for me. I don't want to make the wrong choice and regret it...
4 little princess cut diamonds with tiny round diamonds surrounding and going down the sides in 14k rose gold with 14k yellow gold on the profile. This was not the style ring that I was looking at but when my future husband presented it to me I couldn't take my eyes off of it. He told me that this ring stood out to him, he kept going back to it and knew it was the one. Just 5 more months till our big day! 😊
I had options picked out that I liked and he chose this one. I felt super weird with essentially having a ton of money on my hand, and didn't feel comfortable with how much it would have been with a diamond, so we opted for a white sapphire. Just as pretty (people don't even know that it isn't a diamond), not as expensive! my issue now is finding a band that goes with it. Or even getting a band at all.

I love the unique band on this ring! It gives a bone/twist effect without having to deal with the actual twisted band. Its absolutely stunning!!

Your ring is beautiful, and the white saffire is very pretty. I could understand finding a band for that might be hard. Are you leaning more towards contour or straight?
This is what I was hoping for cuz it matches the band on my ring and looked really pretty paired with it. However, before he had a chance to get it, every store that had it discontinued it. So now I have no idea what to get.

I also looked at a mix of saffire and diamond and really loved the way it looked. He and I decided we wanted to match metals and with my allergy our options were rose gold and platinum so I told him he should choose the metal as I loved them both. He chose Rose gold and found a black and rose gold band so I decided on a black diamond enhanser as my wedding band. I love the way the rose gold and black go together. I'm assuming your band is white gold and I absolutely love that match of the white gold, saffire, and diamonds! It looks really beautiful!

That is beautiful! It would match really well too. Have you looked At Jared? They have this beautiful Neil lane ring that is similar.
I saw that one, but it is out of our price range. They have a rose gold one like the one i want, but with my ring being white gold, i don't know if it would look weird to mix metals.
I am going to go today and look. I did just call them though and they do still have the white gold one available. Thank you so much for checking this out for me!!!
Here is my engagement ring and also with the wedding band. We picked out my ring together and when we both saw it we knew it was the one for me! I just love it!
