Yes you should offer vendor meals to the people who have been working with you especially since they'll be with you 6-8hrs to help with your whole event.

The wedding planner is sorting out the reception/food. Its €80 per head. Should I just ask out right what she would like to eat?

Talk to your caterer about options. Some have discounted prices for vendor meals (our vendor meals are 50% the price of guest meals). They may also have more limited options, so talking to them should be the first step.

I would let her know that you are planning to feed your vendors- her included. Let her then work it out with the venue/caterer.

FYI- often, caterers will charge a discounted rate for vendor meals (at least, here in the US they do), so you may end up paying less for those three meals.

Definitely feed your vendors. It's the right thing to do even if it is not spelled out in your contract. You want their energy up to do the work they need to do to provide you good service.

Definitely feed your vendors. They're going to be with you for most of your day and will get hungry too! And like PPs said, oftentimes you get discounted rates for vendor meals. Aside from being a kind thing to do, they'll be full and happy while making sure your day goes great!

I would ask the planner what is customary - here in the USA it is expected to feed any vendors who will be there at meal service.
