Shotgun wedding??

My fiancé & I would love to get married this December on a very strict timeline & budget. Venue isn't a problem and neither is food as we will be providing it ourselves. Any brides have advice to cut costs & time?

I planned my entire wedding for 100 guests in less than 3 weeks. I am getting married December 17th, 2017 and it's definitely possible with help.

I was able to do this because I picked an all inclusive venue.

So the only thing I had to do was make invites, hire a photographer, and buy a dress.

It doesn't actually take over a year to plan a wedding. Although, the extra time probably makes things less stressful.

My FH and I came in and under 10k for everything. We booked a beautiful venue, awesome food and a really great photographer too. Don't be discouraged!!

But seriously, don't cook your own food. I think it's tacky to ask people you know to work instead of party with you.

Horses? There are horses at this aunt's house (your "venue" -- the owner of which needs to check with her insurance agent to determine her limit of liability if someone gets hurt during your wedding)? Please add a horse advisory to your invitations as being around them could kill me. I have a horrible asthmatic reaction to them, so your wedding would either be me exiting in an ambulance or regretfully declining.

Rachel, I have the same reaction, which is sad because I love horses.

Jumping in because I'm kinda excited other people have really severe asthma/allergy reactions to horses. My people! No one ever thinks I'm serious when I say that.

Neigh, that can't be true but, hay what do I know? Smiley tongue Many people don't realise how many different allergies exist unfortunately.

Enough horsing around for me ... regardless of why you are getting married, Wiki puts it well as to why one does not use that terminology.

Yep and treat everyone to a nice restaurant after a quick ceremony.

Fallinthegarden, it's actually quite common. I see it a lot in my practice. I went to Cavalia (a horse show) and I had to pre-game with steroids and antihistamines along with a bronchodilator. Speaking of hot mess, that was me that day.
