Short and Sassy Wedding Toast Help!

Britnee, on October 9, 2012 at 11:38 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

Although I am getting married in November, one of my great friends is getting married this coming Thursday...in like 36 hours!

I am the Maid of Honor and I am still working on my speech...

I have the main part of the speech down, but what I really want is for a snappy, fun, lasting last line or "toast" to the bride and groom. I would love something with heart but also not too heavy. Something less than 4 lines long as we raise our glasses to the bride and groom...

HELP PLEASE! Smiley smile

Well, this may be easier if we knew a little bit more about the bride and groom lol. My suggestion would be to speak from the heart though.

Haha...yea! I have the heart warming stories and the comments on the day and the bride and the couples love Smiley smile

But what I need now is that last line....like "may the wind be ever at your back" or whatever....but something more...I have been researching for awhile and I can't find anything I like!

There was a quote from leap year I saw that was cute. Something like "May you never steal, lie, or cheat, but if you must steal, then steal away my sorrows, and if you must lie, lie with me all the nights of my life, and if you must cheat, then please cheat death because I couldn't live a day without you. Cheers!". IDK if that's what you're looking for. It was said by the bride in the movie so you'd have to edit it so it's appropriate coming from you lol. Hmm... I'll keep thinking.

How about "May the odds be ever in your favor" Sorry I'm a huge Hunger Games fan thanks to my fw.
