Lol! thank you! And that's really the the kind of pink I wanted - really understated so it would go with most outfits! My fiance did such a good job, and that's exactly how I feel about it - it's such a beautiful blend of us both and our relationship together, not just me, which I love very much. From what I gather they poured out this bag of stones and were like... "what do you like? If you don't like any of these we can order you some more!" and my poor fiance had to pick the right one. He knew I'd say yes when he asked, but he was super worried he might not choose the right shade of pink, haha. I adore him!

I tried so hard to split the cost of mine, but he didn't want to spoil which ring he got me by telling me the price - and he had actually had been putting some money aside each paycheck for almost 2 years by the time he bought my ring!

My fiancee and I started talking about getting married in February 2020, and then the world shut down and it got pushed to the back burner. In May we started looking at rings online (great pandemic distraction!) and was able to start narrowing it down. We went to the brilliant earth showroom like the third day it was able to re-open in DC, and I picked out the setting but left the diamond selection to him. When we talked about the proposal, he kept saying maybe August or September, but he popped the question at the end of July! I had just started my online master's program and was having a hard time adjusting to working full-time and going to school part-time, and was just going on and on about how lucky I was to have his support, how much I loved him, and he dropped to one knee in his sweats in front of our couch. Turns out, he had gotten the ring that day, and felt like it would be the thing to help my mood

However, I have NO IDEA what I am going to do for a band; the setting extends under the diamond on both sides, so I'd either have to do a curved band to have it sit flush, or a straight band and have a gap. Anyone have experience with this?

I don’t have a dreamy story. The day DH proposed, we had been arguing all day through text. We were supposed to meet up later that night for one of his friend’s birthdays. He left me with some of his friends that I didn’t know too well while he was out with his best friend supposedly washing their cars. When we met up that night, I was so furious with him. Who takes the whole day to wash their car?! He had a beautiful ring that he wore every day and that I absolutely loved. He got it while he was in Greece and it was my favorite ring. He proposed to me with it in front of all of his friends. Come to find out, he didn’t know much about rings and thought he could just go to the store to buy one. He thought he would easily find one but couldn’t find anything he thought I would like. Close to our one year anniversary we went to a jewelry story and I picked out three rings. He surprised me with one of them on our anniversary. Now that we are getting ready to celebrate our ten year anniversary, he picked out a new set. I didn’t think we were going to exchange rings. I still wear his ring every day and the bridal set only for fancier occasions. So we will surprise each other with our new bands on the big day and I guess at some point, I’ll get the “engagement” ring.

I tend to not enjoy three stone rings because I prefer one large focal diamond, and the two added stones tend to take focus away from it. The setting you chose however is gorgeous and actually draws the attention to the main stone, rather than detract from it!
I insisted on a low profile ring, so my setting extends out like yours. Personally, I love the look of a stack with gaps between the rings, so the setting worked out perfectly for what I am wanting. You can definitely wear a stack (or just a single band) with a gap between the rings. Or you could have a jeweler make a ring that bends with the curve of yours (which was advised if you plan to solder them together).

We went shopping together months before he actually proposed

The pictures do not do this ring justice.... I was COMPLETELY surprised. Me and my now fiancé have been together for 8 years and we have 3 beautiful girls 6 year old, 3 year old and our youngest just turned 1. We went to Myrtle Beach in August and went to a restaurant on the water and while we were waiting to be seated her took me down by the water and got down on his knee... To say I was SHOCKED is an understatement 😂😂😳 I’m so excited and can’t wait to be his wife on 09/17/2022 🥰
