I wanted to go apple picking/cider tasting on our anniversary, but it was too late in the season for apples. We never figured out what to do besides dinner and a movie, so he proposed in his parents kitchen. I wouldn't have it any other way

My FH proposed in California adventures. We had a disneyland trip planned and he wanted to go to disneyland the first day and california adventures the 2nd. But by the time we got there it just made more sense to go to california adv. the first day and I kept arguing about it (didnt exactly know what he had planned). So when we got there he kept looking around and taking me to places he thought would be cute for "pictures" which is SO unlike him. Finally he found the waterfall that is part of grizzly river run, grabbed a cast member to take our picture, and next thing I know hes on one knee. I know he went on a little about how much he loved me and so on, but I blanked some out because he used my full name, and I HATE my first name so I remember I (jokely) yelled at him for using my full name but of course I said yes!! After, the cast member actually took us to the very front of the Cars ride!!! Such an amazing day!

Those are great pictures! I love your nails! How lucky were you to get taken to the front of Cars! My DH and I were just there in October with my company and we had to ride Cars as "single riders" because the line was sooooo long.

On December 1st I planned a surprise birthday party for Kelvin & ended up being my surprise Engagament because my best friend and him and the rest of my family & friends had already figured out that would be the only way I wouldn’t have suspected! You know, I only waited like 5 years! Haha 😂 totally worth it (I attached video link below!

We got engaged in Madrid on October 12. We had been in Spain for 8 days and it was towards the end if the trip. We had talked about doing a really fancy dinner and ended up with reservations at a Michelin started restaurant. FH had arranged it ahead of time, and "went to the bathroom". When he came back, there were three servers with him. I was still confused, until he asked me to stand and I saw one of the servers had a ring box. I was so shocked and instantly started bawling. I later found out he had been planning this for close to 4 months and had it broadcast on FB Live so everyone at home(who already knew!) Could watch.

My fiancé proposed August 23, 2018! We were on a break 10 day, 3 country trip to Europe and he proposed on our last night in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower on the Bir-Hakeim bridge. He even hired a photographer to catch it all on video and photo! I was so surprised as he had said some very sneaky things before we left for the trip to completely throw me off. Best day of my life! Afterwards we celebrated with drinks at the second highest point in Paris (Montparnasse tower) and dinner and a fun night in central Paris!

My first time to a beach was the best.

Jacob and I went to Destin, FL from June 2-10, 2018 with his family, I have never been to the beach so it was an amazing experience. On the way there (we drove) I made a joke and said it would be amazing if he proposed on the beach at sunset. He just told me that he wouldn't have the money for a ring then. So I was thinking it would just be a normal vacation. Little did I know. On June 7th, we got ready to go for a walk and he insisted i wore my new dress. His family said they were "going to the store" so we stayed at the house for a min before leaving to let them know if there was any butter. His sister texted him (in code) to let him know where they were. We went on a walk on the beach and he told me to close my eyes as soon as we got there. I let him lead me. ( I stepped on a candle) There was a heart of candles in the sand at sunset and his family were filming. His words, "You drive me crazy. Will you marry me?" I told him yes of course..... along with "You're a butt! I told you!"

He proposed on July 8th while we were on a hike. We had been planning a hike up to one of the highest mountain peaks, the pfeifferhorn, near us for a while but our plans were derailed by a health crisis with my mom. I spent about a month on the other side of the country helping my mom so I didn't think we would do the hike this year as there is a limited season to make the hike. When I came home, we decided to just go for it even though I was probably out of shape for it after a month at low altitude. We went on one of the hottest days of the summer and I struggled hard. I tried to turn around many times and FH kept encouraging me to keep going. We made it to the lake a few miles from the peak and stopped for lunch. I asked him to help me put some more sunblock on my back so he knelt down next to our backpack and when he turned back to me he was holding out a ring! I was so surprised and happy! The proposal definitely gave me an energy boost and after lunch we made it to the peak of the mountain! This photo is from right after the proposal.

I feel like many people would scoff at how he "proposed", but I laugh and just see it as something that is so us.

I can't even remember what date it was, but FH texted me out of the blue one night early December and asked "Do you want to get married next year?" I thought he was joking so I texted back "Yeah." He then asked "May 14? At a courthouse?" And I just said "Yeah."

He knew I wanted to get married on our anniversary (May 14th) and I had always talked about wanting to get married at a courthouse with just our immediate families to cut on the costs of a wedding. It wasn't until a week later we somehow got to talking about engagement and marriage, that I realized he was fully serious about getting married. It had thrown me off because he was so set on waiting until I had finished school and until we had a better plan for our future to get married. But we started talking about the courthouse wedding and that didn't end up working out because he didn't want to offend his aunt and grandparents who he's really close with. So it evolved from a May 14th courthouse wedding to a more elaborate wedding on May 25th.

He had always planned to formally propose with an e-ring later on (before May 25th of course, but who knows when exactly), and still plans on proposing, but we later realized we "accidentally" got engaged because we had set a date and everything. So we went ahead and just announced it to our families and told those who we wanted in our wedding party. We have yet to announce to everyone else. It's actually been really nice not having everyone know we're engaged yet. It still feels like it's just OUR news, even if our closest friends and family know. But obviously we'll have to let those invited know soon.

We were vacationing in Lake Placid in June of 2017 when my husband proposed. So many things went wrong during the trip, it was pretty hilarious. We showed up at 8 PM on Saturday and the entire town had no power. And since we don't carry cash, but we luckily brought snacks, our dinner consisted of string cheese, cashews and lots of wine. Then the proposal almost didn't happen because of the weather...it had to be postponed for the next day. But, it was amazing! He surprised me with a private hot air balloon ride! And he proposed 2000 feet up in the air! It was such a beautiful sight seeing Lake Placid from up in the air as the sun was rising. Now, I'm terrified of heights, so I was freaking out a little, but my husband likes to push me outside my comfort zone and that adrenaline made the proposal even more exciting. I felt so safe in his arms and it was one of the most amazing moments we've had together. And then of course the pilot's truck broke down at a rest stop on the way back to our car haha!

August 6th,2018 was our first day in Disney. We got ready. He didnt tell me if I should wear anything cute. Him and my mom kept insisting I bring "cute" clothes down and I'm oblivious to the fact. We went on a water ride. Got soaked haha. His mom kept scrambling for a photographer and I had no idea why. Obviously went right over my head. I knew that they take lots of pics and stuff. Anyway the photographer says she'll be there at the time his mom told her. The girl never shows up. His mom makes me take pics in front of the castle of his family then tells me to go with Kevin and we can take pics. Little did I know he got on one knees said some beautiful words and proposed to me. It was like a fairytale. I was the happiest girl ever haha. We were dating for 7 years but I never thought we would get engaged in disney !!

He said we were going to the Long Island Aquarium to do the Penguin Encounter as an early Christmas gift, which is something I've been dying to do for ages since I LOVE penguins! You get to have a little meet and greet with them, pet them and take photos with them. He orchestrated a whole plan with the aquarium for us to be held back after everyone else left for our "extra training session," when Kevin the Penguin waddled out with a bow tie that said "Marry Me?" When I turned back to him, he was on one knee and asked me to be his penguin for the rest of his life (penguins only have one mate for life). It was like a fairy tale!
