Sex (because everyone wanted to talk about it anyway!) lol

Honestly, in our relationship, we are very open with Sex. I am Christian and he is non-religious, but we are still very much into having sex. What about everyone else? Anyone waiting for their wedding night?

I'm open.. 28 turning 29 June 28th. Smiley smile I'm a virgin and FH hasn't had sex in 8 yrs so he pretty much is! It's hard, yes... very hard... but we decided we are going to wait, but if it happens one night it's obviously meant to happen! Been together 7 1/2 years so why not wait another 4 months! Smiley smile

@Katie...yep. Will be turning 29 three weeks after the wedding. Just made a decision (at age 14...yikes, half my life ago!) that if I believe in the Biblical view of marriage, that's one way to honor God and my husband, by letting that be his and only his. I figured there's not a lot I could control about my marriage without having met the guy yet, but if I could keep that part special, that would be meaningful to the right guy. And then by the time I met him, I pretty much had the self-control part down already...it's not like it's been EASY but it's not like it's driving me crazy or anything. (FH, not so much...he's not a V, and I think he's counting the hours until we take off from the reception!) No judgment on anyone who didn't wait -- do what you do, ladies -- just was something I decided to do and stuck to.

Nope! No waiting. And quite honestly I was going through a very rough time and we didn't even wait two weeks before we had sex! (I'm bad, I know) but lucky me, he turned out to be THE ONE! Smiley smile

We both aren't virgins, but once we started going to counseling for some of our issues, the counselor suggested not having sex until after we were married. It's never too late to live right by God. So that's our main focus right now. It was hard for him at first for numerous of reasons, but we are being true to ourselves and honoring God... its been about 3 wks now...and now I'm pregnant. Go figure. lol

@Kiley - good for you Smiley smile Your story reminds me of my cousin. Both she and her husband waited and got married at 29 years old. A couple months prior to the wedding she went on the pill so it would be full effective come their lives together. Her parents came to help her move a few days before the wedding and packed her pills. She couldn't find them, was off of them for a day or two, and low and behold, got her period on her wedding day. Her husband said, "Well, I've waited 29 years...what's another week?!" We still laugh about this...

I met FH and I knew...just knew...lighter than breath and deeper than my bones that he was IT for me. And I'd held fast until I met him...not without some serious effort on my part...and still, I made him chase me. He waited a whole year with me. And I do feel special...I don't feel like I lost anything...I wrapped a bow on it and said "special delivery!"

@Kim -- oh HELL no. I tried one pill and FH asked me to switch because I was SUPER moody and anxious on them (random crying fits, violent raging anger that he only saw the iceberg tip of because I was trying to not come off like a psycho...he called them my crazy pills). New brand seems to be working, but since it's a lower dose I'm terrified that I'll start something on wedding day, or worse, it won't actually be effective (I can Photoshop my dress in photos and laugh off the embarrassment, but there's no Photoshopping a baby). That's honestly the only thing that freaks me out about starting to have sex...the emotions, the fear of not knowing what I'm doing, the fact that I'm not his first, all that stuff doesn't faze me at all. I just don't like kids very much and don't know if I want them EVER, much less immediately. (My lady doc told me that if God wants me to get pregnant, no pill, regardless of strength, will stop that...so I'm praying my head off that God says "not yet".)

I gotta put in my two cents: I love you girls. Lynzey and Misty are cracking me up! Since FH turned 35 there's been a very sad decline in his drive...I've figured out how to fix it by being the initiator. It's fun...we both enjoy it. Though...sometimes I am sneaky about it...and the THINKS he's in charge. LOL.

You ladies crck me up. FH and I waited 4.5 years. Wow that was a long time now that I think about it. He was my first so I was scared of being ripped apart. Lol. Now its like 2 times a day since I only get to see him 2 days a week

@kiley, have you considered an IUD? they have less side effects than the pill and are effective for 5 years. they are even more reliable than the pill!

@Julie, yeah, thought about it...but ethically I'm not sure I'd be OK with one. That's a whole other debate for another day, but in the meantime I'm RELIGIOUS with my BC pill and hoping it does its job.

When I first got together with FH I told him I had wanted to wait until I was married. I had waited until then, and wanted to wait until it was "the one". He was totally fine with that. He respected that and respected me. Well let me just say that didn't happen. We did wait a while, but obviously not until marriage.

We do other things. but we stopped doing sex. one of the reasons r we predominately only get 4-8 days a month to spend with eachother so were off doing other things. and we also dont feel right sneaking around since we both live in ultra religious households right now till we can afford to get our own.
