Self Made Wedding Favors?

I think handmade soaps are a great favor, whether you make them yourself or not. Kids don't really care about favors, so unless you're doing assigned seats and leaving a favor at each place setting, I wouldn't worry about doing something special for them.

I love that idea and personally think it’s awesome and special for them to be hand made. I’m also making mine to an extent. Their favor is a champagne glass with their name on it. It will serve as their name card at the table. I will say it is definitely time consuming to do one for every guest though. : )

I think it is really a great idea to use your own product. Seems like it will save money and be something that comes from the heart.
