Scared of wearing heels.

Private User, on October 10, 2013 at 6:22 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 31

I've never been good at walking in them. And since right now I am not walking at all, I am so scared! I feel like I need tot take classes whenever I am able, just to strap some on. I would like to walk down the aisle without wobbling! And all the nice heels are so high!

What to do what to do!?

There's a bride on here who just decorated some stage shoes for her day. They have a slight heel, and they have cushioning in them so you won't be super uncomfortable. I think her thread is still floating around on the first few pages.

They have a bunch of different flat bottomed caps to put onto your heels to help you. Here is an example http://www.idealheel.com/home/

I wouldn't wear them if you're not used to them. I would either start practicing now or just wear flats.

Like I said, I'm not walking at all right now. So, practice is not an option.

Then wear flats. There are plenty of pretty flats. You may even DIY a bit of glamour into it. Pinterest!

I may have to. Though, I will be pretty sad. Heels make your butt look good. LOL

You wouldn't be the first to wear flats at your wedding. wear what you're comfortable wearing.

I got a kitten heel at Zappos. As I said in another thread, my broken knee paid for my wedding, but my broken knee means nothing higher than an inch.

I wore kitten heels. 1. I didn't want to take a tumble down the aisle. 2. I'm taller than DH and he didn't want to exaggerate it.

I'm wearing flat sandals, since I always manage to twist my ankle in heels

I'm wearing flats! I know I'm going to be on my feet all day and me and heels are a bad mix. I think flats look adorable with bridal gowns. Smiley smile

I always laugh to myself when I see a woman dressed up cute but she's walking all funny and uncomfortable in her heels like something is up her butt. Just wear what you can walk in. Flats are fine!!

I'm wearing pink Chuck Taylors - my father & son are wearing black ones.

I am going to do blue sparkle laces for my something blue. (Super dorky I know)

I am the person who will break their ankle walking down the aisle if I wear heels. So I had to go with what I am comfortable in. Plus no blisters!

It's really hard to see your shoes with a long dress anyways - wear what you are comfortable with.

And, I may have missed the thread - but why arent' you walking?

Oh, my goodness! You are in a wheelchair so you can't even practice walking in heels. Definitely go for the flats, safer and more comfortable.
