Save the Dates/destination Wedding

Hey Ladies. I am getting married in Vegas but our entire family lives in California (bay area). Wedding date is 3/18/2021. How far in advance do you think we should send the save the dates out so people can start planning. Hotels open up in April of this year and because its Vegas things get booked quickly!

I would send them about a year out. We are also having a destination wedding and i feel like it helped a lot to give everyone plenty of time to do what they need to do with work and hotels.

For our destination wedding we sent our Save the Dates 10 months out (would have been sooner but waited for engagement pictures) and our invites 4 months out!

We sent out our save the dates 9 months in advance we are getting married in California near Yosemite and all of the grooms family is in Nebraska. We live in Wyoming with a lot of our friends here. I felt 9 months was plenty of time for our out of state guests to start planning if they could make our wedding or not.

I was wondering the same thing! Getting married in Gatlinburg March 13, 2021. Small, intimate ceremony so want to make sure all we want there can make it. I was thinking a year out would be good for Save The Dates.
