Save the Dates mailed for you

Keith, on August 29, 2022 at 6:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

My fiancee and I are starting to research Save The Dates. I was hoping to find a vendor that would create them and mail them for us. I can see that Postable does this but I'm not finding that capability on other sites (Zazzle, Minted). Am I just missing something, or is that not something that a lot of Save The Date vendors do?

Not many vendors mail Save-the-Dates or invitations for you. They usually give you everything to mail yourself.

I never heard of that before. Is there any reason why you can’t do it yourself? Asking a vendor to do so can result in an additional costs.

I think they may have some good options on Etsy actually. We just purchased save the date and invitations through hobby lobby, it was pretty inexpensive and easy. Just plugged our information in the template that comes with it and printed them at home.

I've heard of companies that will pre-print envelopes, but never ones that would mail them. You could maybe try asking a wedding planner/ coordinator if they offer that service? Save-The-Dates aren't a huge lift since there's not as many things to include like there are with invitations. Not sure it would be worth the additional cost to have someone else stuff and mail them.

Tbh, I thought about making an etsy for this lol. Such a market because I wanted someone to do it for me too!

I used the mailing function on word and printed all of the addresses directly on the envelopes. Then I ordered an address stamper from amazon and stamped our address on the back. I feel like this method saved us a ton of time and I hated the look of address stickers on the envelopes.

A friend did this for her daughter’s grad party and there was a big delay in receiving the invites…so be prepared for that! I personally think it is easier to do it yourself & have more control!
