Save the Date, pic or no pic?

How many are including pictures of yourselves on your save the dates? Is it common to do so?

We did the email save thedate template. Many sites have templates you can choose. We uploaded our picture and changed the colors and the font of the save the date notice. It came out really nice. At the bottom we put the wedding wire url for our guests.

Such a precious photo!! We also used one of our engagement photos. Most of my guests had not seen my fiance.

I did a pretty gold design, no picture for me. Everyone seems to do it now and days, more money and it will be in the garbage later.

We are going to use our engagement pictures just because we don't really have any formal pictures of us together as a couple.
I've seen it both ways and it's really personal choice.

At first my fiancee, did not see the need for engagement photos. So the save the dates would have been without a picture.

We ended up with a great deal on a wedding photo package so that's why we are including one.

We used one of our engagement pictures on the save the dates and I loved how they came out. This was the picture we used to build the save the date around.

We did a picture! I've seen Save The Dates with pictures and without, we just liked how ours turned out with a picture best. I think it is all up to the couple and how your style is, both as a couple and for your wedding.

We did our engagement photo on our Save the Dates and did one without a photo on the invitation. 😊 Let me say Vistaprint.com is awesome and affordable! Ho

We used pictures from our engagement photo shoot on our save the dates. I love how they came out! I think it's a good idea to have at least one picture so any guests who haven't meet both the bride & groom will know what they look like.

It's extremely common here in west MI, but we didn't do one. We already had our theme, so I designed them with the theme.

We are using a photo because we spent the money on the engagement shoot so why not get more out of it? Plus we don't plan to use photos on the actual invitations so using them on the Save the Dates made the most sense.

We are. just because we are getting engagement pictures taken. They were included in our photo package for the wedding.
Otherwise, we probably wouldn't have a picture on ours.

We did a save the date with the wedding theme and then we did our invitations with a picture of us on it. I believe it's very common to include a photo, but definitely not a must.

We didn't do a photo, FH picked out save the dates, and they are super cute.

With all the save the dates we received, about 50/50 used photos on their save the dates. Personally I like photos on the save the dates but I understand that people don't want to spend the extra money. We did 3 pictures for our save the date & we absolutely love how they turned out.

I think it's a fairly common practice, however, I didn't add pictures to mine. Then again we didn't have an engagement shoot done, so it would have just been some selfies of the two of us.

I just did one that worked with our theme, which we'd already chosen by the time STDs needed to go out. That actually ended up working well for me because when it came time to design the invites, it was a lot easier.
