So my wedding is quickly approaching and my dress recently came in.......it is ivory lace on top and duchess satin on the bottom. I have been on this forum for a while and am always seeing the "show me your dress" threads but I hardly ever see satin dresses on there. I do like my dress but I'm wondering if it is more "old fashioned" than i realized?

No your dress is gorgeous! It has a classic element to it because of the structured skirt but I think its beautiful. The buttons up the back make it look really modern. Not old fashioned.

I FUCKING LOVE POCKETS ON WEDDING DRESSES!!!!! I haven't looked specifically at satin gowns, but now I will be!

Also the dress is absolutely stunning!

Satin is gorgeous, and I love how structured it is! Your dress looks gorgeous! I thought I would end up with a satin dress, but I didn't (mine is royal organza).

Your dress is gorgeous! Mine was satin too and I loved it. The only time I regretted it was during this picture with DH holding me up because I just kept sliding down his tux but the photographer nailed it anyway lol

You can't tell from the picture but my dress has organza overlay covering the satin. If you look it up close in person you can tell.
