What do you do if people aren’t responding to your wedding invite? Due to covid, I’ve been trying to get our numbers in early since we can only have our wedding at half capacity. I’ve explained to this everyone, hoping they’d understand. I know people are probably waiting it out, but I also feel like most people know if they’re attending or not. They’re not even responding to texts. I’m already stressed & this just annoys me to the max! Any advice??

Or how about when you treat etiquette rules like guidelines you're likely to offend people and end up with nobody wanting to attend your blessed event anyway. People who treat their guests well by following etiquette are more likely to have happy friends and family, not less.

Etiquette rules are about treating guests well. B lists do not treat any of your guests well. Nobody appreciates getting a super early wedding invitation with a super early response requested. Many people are not able to say whether or not they will be able to attend 2 months out from an event - especially during COVID - and it's stressful and rude to them to demand they do so so that you can invite other people in their place.

I dont know if you have a website for you wedding, but if you do you can make a list of how meny spots are open and how meny are taken. Most people are visual and if people see that the spaces are becoming limited they might respond more. Just a thought. Congratulations on you wedding.

That's actually interesting - I'd wonder If the same people that RSVP late are the people who never go to the website though 😂

I'm the type of person who doesn't like to bend backwards for people who don't do the same. I've been stressed with Covid and everything so I'm just going to give a warning. I sent out postponed cards then I'm going to confirm with everyone a few months before. If they don't respond then it's their loss

I was just about to post a thread about this same thing! How frustrating that we stamp, address and number out RSVPs. All guests have to do is check the box and mail it back. Why is it so hard!

Right? I texted the last nonrespondent close friend of mine and was like "so are you keeping that stamp or what" 😂 We did have some ppl who lost theirs...sigh... So texting it was.
I also had someone *remove* the RSVP card and sent back the details insert! I numbered the RSVP cards but damnit I didn't realize y'all were going to send me back irrelevant materials. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We will just have to do process of elimination on that one - I don't even know if that means a yes or no to them. Lol

My RSVP deadline is tomorrow and I'm sitting here waiting on 100 replies lol....I also feel that by now you should 100% know if you are coming or not, especially if you're out of the area and would have to travel. Very annoying but not sure what more we could do about it other than start blowing people's phones up
