We definitely went modern! I don't have my ring yet (but the jeweler told FH that my ring was finished last week! - so now I'm just waiting!) We went the custom route so I was involved with picking out the diamond and worked with the jeweler on the CADs.

While a surprise proposal would have been super sweet, I'm particular about my jewelery and had something really specific in mind so I'm glad we did it this way.
