Right side bride?

I want to stand on the right side during the ceremony, instead of FH, for completely vain reasons. As a wedding guest would you find it strange to see the bride on the right?

My sister was married in church that has the bride on the right. I didn't think much of it until i started planning my ceremony ( getting married outside and secular wedding) and had to think about that. So I doubt anyone will really notice. If its a concern of yours where your family sits, then maybe a little sign on each side indicating that. Other than that do whatever you want. Half of the people that are coming to my wedding are judging hard.

I've had parents sit on the opposite side so they could see their child's face.

I've had couples switch sides because:

    They were Jewish

The wind was blowing the bride's hair/veil in her face (lots of beach weddings)

The groom needed his good ear toward me

There was not enough room on one side for all the bridesmaids (fewer groomsmen)

    No big deal either way!

If your ceremony is a religious one, I would ask your officiant if they had any reason to object, and if not, stand on whatever side you want!

@Mrs. Fall Bride I'll make sure to stand on the right because my FH knows I'm the queen! Lol ;-)

I actually constantly forget the bride is supposed to be on the left! So "normal" weddings throw me for a moment. I think you being on the right is totally fine

@Mrsfallbride “At thy right hand does the queen stand.” (Psalm 45:10) the reference is Psalm 45:9 (not a big a deal lol). I'm not Jewish but I religiously adhere to some Jewish beliefs. Thank you so much for sharing this verse! I'm definitely switching the side I'm standing on Smiley smile
