.....regret my hair!

Johanna, on March 9, 2012 at 1:57 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 55

And also...my hair dresser lived in the same town as i did. she lived only a couple of houses away from the church where my ceremony was. so she could've easily told me to come to her house after the ceremony and to quickly curl up the messed up hair. she was charging 60 bucks for that hair style so at least she could've had the decency & fix it!!!!

i just don't understand why my hair did get messed up. this hair dresser supposedly had good opinions. she does wedding hairstyles all the time. she had so much experience. she does high class hairstyles. and she even did my bridesmaids' hair so nicely! why did she mess up my hair???? does anyone have a clue what could've went wrong??

i feel so much regret after seeing the photos. on the day of the wedding, even though i knew my hair got messed up, all the nerves let me forget all about it. but then after seeing the photos & how i look, i can't believe why i wasn't more needy and called for her to fix my hair!

I just sometimes think what i could've done, should've.....i think "maybe i should've chose a different hairstyle....maybe then she wouldn't mess it up. or maybe i should've chose a different hairdresser. but how should've i known. she supposedly had the best experience and a lot of people i knew went to her for wedding hairstyles

Clearly you are still upset about it. I don't think there is nothing that can be done about it @ this point. But you have brought awareness to other brides by posting this. So Brides, if you don't like your hair, let your stylist know immediately. Sometimes you have to be a little demanding about what you want & expect especially if you are paying ( paid) for it. We can't tell you why she messed your hair up though. Maybe take renewal photos.

$60 for wedding day hair.. I am paying double that... and she had no obligation to come back. You pay for what you pay for. You did not pay her to come back after.

60 bucks converted to US money. i got married in a different country. thus, in the currency of the country i was at, it was about 200 dollars!

So actually it was more like 200 dollars. i just converted it to US money but obviously currency and prices are different in other countries.

200 zloty is a lot of money to pay for a hairstyle. so yes i think it was her obligation to fix my hair. especially since she did come to the ceremony because my mom called for her

The point is not to think just because you (and i mean in general, all the brides out there) are planning on paying big money for hair....you'll have the best everlasting hairstyle.

sometimes paying less can be just as good and long lasting.

i've had hairstyles in the past where i paid half for what i paid on my wedding day. and those hairstyles actually lasted a good 6-12 hours. my prom hair lasted longer.

    so just giving advice
