Reception song ideas for a brunch reception?

I’m needing suggestions on songs to play at my brunch reception. The ceremony is at 11 am so the reception would start at 12 Pm at the latest. We will be having brunch foods, so I’m looking for music that fits more with a laid back rather than party atmosphere. I’m more drawn to laid back artists like (Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, etc) anyways. Give me song suggestions that would be good to play at a brunch! 😊

    I heard this group called VITAMIN STRING QUARTET at another friend's wedding, they have "modern wedding essentials" and it's mostly just music. I think it's nice light easy listening for a brunch!

    We're doing just this for our brunch wedding as well!

    We'll be doing Vitamin String Quartet for our prelude music.

    This is going to depend on your music taste, but I think some popular artists to look into are:

    1. Taylor Swift (her older music)

    2. Ed Sheeran

    3. Ellie Goulding

    4. Plain White T's

    5. Lindsey Sterling

    Don't forget to mix in your personal touch! FH and I listen to mostly Alternative Rock and we definitely want that represented, so we're trying to find as many softer songs in that genre as possible.

    I would also second the suggestion for you to check out Vitamin String Quartet. They are on Spotify and have a ton of strong quarter covers of popular songs. It would be perfect music to have in the background while guests eat and mingle!

    Do you want chill music in the background while guests mix and mingle at your reception, or are you looking for music guests can dance to? What is the vibe you want to create?

    I'm completely obsessed with the Covers album by Sleeping At Last and am using a couple of the songs during our cocktail party reception.

    I forgot to mention my other obsession, Leon Bridges. We are playing Beyond and Coming Home by him. Both beautiful songs for a wedding.
