Reception entertainment.

I am planning to have a dry wedding in March. I plan on having live music for the ceremony but I am blanking out on what to do for entertainment during cocktail hour and reception. DJ is so expensive and all. I will have upscale backyard games like bridal corn toss and huge janga. Also we will have little activity bags for kids and crosswords on tables. But what else can I entertain my guests with without breaking the bank?

I’ve been to a few dry weddings and have never seen much dancing at them. I think sticking to more of a dinner party type atmosphere with a few games is fine!

You could always do bride and groom games like the shoe game or something.

Food/drink stations are great because they’re practical and fun. For brunch, you could do an omelette or crepe station. For dinner, a mashed potato or Mac & cheese bar. Something fun to get people & and mingling. A fancy coffee/tea bar is yummy. Maybe a candy dessert bar instead of favors (not necessary but fun if there are kids).

Your ceremony & meal are plenty so don’t feel you NEED entertainment.

You could do the shoe game, make your own trivia game, do a “what’s on your phone” game. They have lots of printable downloads on Etsy for 2-6 bucks, then just print one per table at UPS. We did a roast at ours, it was fun.

I like sasha's ideas i would have a speaker and play from a great playlist. This way the option is for people to dance. Although I love dancing if i was a guest and the bride is dancing on the dance floor I would go and join her.
