Re-use invites for postponed wedding?

Hello brides! My fiancé and I were one of many couples affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Which led to many uncertainties, one of them being; should we recycle our wedding invites (we have a digital copy that can be edited).
Now, I’m sure I’m not the only bride that may have gone a little over budget and buying new invites seems like such a waste! Not to mention our invites were custom to our theme and I absolutely love them. What are your thoughts, should I recycle the invites with a catchy header like “Hey life happens” and just update the date. Or should I invest in a whole new set?

Where did you get your invites? A lot of companies will reprint for free given the circumstances. It can't hurt to ask

This reminds me of what I did for my HS graduation party invites! I had really nice ones done by a print shop with my picture, party details, and college I was attending. I got off a waitlist and changed my college decision after the invites were printed. I just wrote something up on the computer with the new college name, printed it out in mass and glued it over the old college name. The invite was white. You could still tell, but I was in a time crunch and not going to let a minor detail ruin my day!

I think making a funny comment about it would be charming, and everyone is going to understand why.
