I'm considering them. So I want to follow. I worked there 12 years and FH worked there 11, it's where we met lol, so I know customer service is the best. I've seen people get their money back, and given it back to them, on birthday cakes with one slice left or less if they complained about the cake being dry or pretty much anything . I know it will be miles better than the bakery that was contracted with the venue that I just ditched for bad customer service.
LOL... great! I love that they deliver and setup. We are doing a dessert table so the cupcakes are a steal as well... I am not a fan of paying $3 per cupcake. I will save money any way that I can.
I'm planning to get mine from Publix. My sister also had her cake from Publix a few years ago. It tasted and looked great. The delivery was free bc the store she ordered it from was less than a mile from the venue. I'm not sure if they all do that or if her store had a special deal with her venue. When she was shopping for her cake, I remember Publix being significantly less expensive than other bakeries.
My venue is 9 miles away from the store so the fee will be less than 30$ to deliver... that's not bad at all! They have beautiful cakes. I think it will be fine.
I ordered my cake from Publix and did my tasting there. I have been very pleased thus far. The price was $387 before tax, which includes delivery fee. After the tasting you can keep the samples that they make for you. They have a lot of options to choose from on their website. I think you will be pleased.😊I'm doing a store to store transfer. I started the order at one Publix and they will transfer my order to a Publix closer to the venue where it will be made. It will be payment prior to the transfer.
I was going to go with Publix but I found a venue that works with a local baker that is awesome. I heard a few complaints when mentioned but honestly no one is going to know where it comes from-they'll only remember how it tasted. Because of the quality, Publix is the only place I buy birthday cakes for my kids from
I know publix cakes taste great because they were always my birthday cake when I was younger. I'm actually really thinking about doing publix as well so I'm highly interested in this thread!
My dad got his from there. Not sure anyone else suggested this cause I didn’t read all the comments but he saved money by telling them he needed one larger cake and one medium cake and 50 cupcakes “for a birthday party” then he stacked the cakes and set up the cake table himself.
We got our grooms cake (chocolate) from there for $55. Everyone loved it- probably even more than our actual wedding cake I paid $200 for. I don’t know if all Publix would be that great but we loved it and got tons of compliments.
