I thought about Publix. I found their prices just didn't save me that much over a tradition bakery.

I did mine from Walmart and it was honestly really good and an excellent price! I got smooth white icing and dressed it up a little with some fake flowers and such. So if you have a Walmart near you I would definitely look into that. Best of luck on your cake search!

I have been to at least 10 bridal shows over the last 2 years. For the ones that Publix was a vendor, their cakes either leaned, were uneven, or had other issues. I understand wanting to save money but your cake is probably one of the items who gets photographed the most besides the bride. Just think about it before you go all in. There is no doubt they have great customer service and yes I get all my bday cakes and other pastries from them but the wedding cake will be from a wedding cake designer.

I’m also considering Publix for our wedding cake. I’ll be on the lookout for comments from this post.

I ended up ordering my cake, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and a combo platter of dessert. It will look good and taste good. All of this was less than $600!
