Proposal

We were together for 3 years. We had lived together for two and a half of them. He couldn't ask my dad because my dad passed away so he proposed me at my dad's grave cuz he said it was the next best thing he could do.

He proposed to me online after 3 months, as he was deployed. Waiting on when he is safe home to plan.

We have been together since 2015 and he proposed in 2021.

Oh wow. This is such a great one for us.....

Literally - a couple weeks. But without a ring or having met in person.
With a ring - 1 month and 28 days after having met in person.

Here is the full story....

I live in British Columbia, Canada. He lives in Holley, New York.

One day back in March 2021 I got this random Instagram follow - from a private account, a dude, and usually I delete them but this time for some reason I did not. He sent a couple fire emoji's to stories I posted and I gave the usual thumbs up blow off response that I always do when random dudes DM me.

Then I posted stories of my dog and he sent an actual message about his dog and having to put her down in the fall of 2020. That exchange was pretty minimal. Then I was making Mac and Cheese one night and I accidentally sent him a photo (instead of the person I was trying to send it to) and we got to talking.

From that point on it was video dates every day and constant communication. He told me he wanted to marry me after a couple weeks. It wasn't until June 2021 that I flew to the US to meet him (on Canada Day). I was there for a few weeks, met his whole family, his daughter and all his friends.

Then during my second trip (which I currently am still on)....he proposed to me on the night of my 33rd birthday (August 29th 2021), by a waterfall down in Holley (which was the first place he took me to when I visited back in June/July).

Although we knew each other and had been friends since highschool we made sure to take our time to learn who we were in a relationship. We dated for 5 and half years before getting engaged, and are having a two year engagement.

He proposed on our 7 year anniversary!

My husband and I were inseparable best friends for about 1 month and a half. We started dating for two months and he planned a beautiful disguise photo shoot (said it was for a friends portfolio) proposal at one of our favorite spots. We got married two days later have been together for almost two years now. We own our own home, have 3 fur babies, and couldn’t be happier! There’s no time limit on love, I believe that it’s true, “when you know, you just know.” And I will never forget the day I met him. The days in between, and I cherish every moment that he’s in my life. He’s just my world. 🥰

We have been together for 14 years, we decided together to get married and he proposed to me by a waterfall while we were hiking in the RMNP. Together we have raised a couple girls and when our youngest turns 18 we're going to get married and focus on us and travel together. He's my very best friend and I am super grateful for our life together ❤

My fiance and I were together for 9 years and we are planning on 99 more🥰

We were together for 1 year and 2 months before we got engaged. Dating 5/17/2020, Engaged 7/23/2021 and will be getting Married 8/27/2022.

Me and my FH met online in 2015

Met in person in may of 2015 (He came to visit me in PA from NYC by bus)

He moved in with me and my family in October 2017

We moved out and got our own apartment together with our 2 cats in june of 2020

On December 22nd of 2020, we went shopping at a mall with our friends who are married and when we got home he couldnt wait tonpropose so did it that night in apartment in front of our friends

1yr &’ 9months🤍

We’ve been together for 5 1/2 years. We’ve always talked about getting married since our 3rd month of dating. But we spent a over a year trying to conceive and then dealt with other things. Plus we wanted to move from Florida and buy a house in SC. So after we did all that. And got ourselves settled and now we were in a better place financially and career wise. He knew it was the time. Well overdue but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
