I'm trying to schedule hair and makeup services for wedding day. I'm also considering hiring two different artists, one for hair and one for makeup. So what should I have done first? My ceremony starts at 2:30pm and the photographer arrives at 1pm for some bridal pics. So I think maybe I should...

My ceremony starts at 2:30pm and the photographer arrives at 1pm for some bridal pics.

So I think maybe I should start the pampering process around 11am... ahhh... so many things to think about... help pleaseeee

For my daughter's wedding, we hired a hair stylist and MUA who work out of the same salon, Le Pappillon in Jenkintown, PA. They often work together. The hair stylist showed up first, at 9:00 a.m. and did Cate's hair. The MUA arrived an hour later and did Cate's MU while I was having my hair done. I had MU done after. The photographer arrived at 1:00 for a 2:00 wedding(The church was right down the street.) The hair and MU gals left by 12:30.

Actually, at home, I always do my MU first(primer, foundation, eyes, and lashes), then I do my hair and jewelry. Last, I put on my blush and lipstick when I am fully dressed an accessorized.

I'm scheduling hair first then make-up. I sweat when I get nervous or anxious so I wanted make-up to go on last so that it will look the freshest.

The pro I hired did my hair first and then my make up. But I have super long hair and it took forever to do. So maybe that's why but I am not sure. It worked out good that way though.

This is a great post! I was unsure as to what order. Is this the same order if you have 6 bm's, 1 JBM, and a flower girl? Oh wait, and 3 moms?

Ask your makeup artist and your hair stylist what would be best and how long it will take so you can make up your timeline.

For the bridesmaids, moms, and anyone else who is getting ready with you - they should go in whatever order the hair and makeup team sets to get through everyone the fastest!!

For the bride - ask your stylist! They might have a personal preference, or suggestion based on your skin or hair. I've normally had my hair done first, because hot heat tools and hair products can mess up the makeup on your face!
